well it is better than Crisp, i guarantee you if Crisp is our fullback then here come the wooden spoon again.
he is up there with the worst player ever to play in the blue and white
come on crisp isnt as bad as charlie tonga or ben shiloski or whatever his name is

What a crappy thread. And crappy Thread title.
Couldn't agree more Moe! As if you would have a thread about who would replace The General.

Patten discharged from hospital

November 14, 2008 BULLDOGS full-back Luke Patten has undergone back surgery for the problem that ruined his 2008 NRL season and expects to be fit for a round one return next year.

Patten, 28, played just seven NRL games this year as he battled persistent back pain and missed the last 16 rounds of the competition.

He visited a surgeon last week who was confident he had identified the problem and believed he could successfully correct it to have him playing again in 2009.

Patten had surgery on Wednesday and was discharged from hospital on Friday.

"The good news is after a number of various investigations and attempts to find solutions, Luke is confident some surgery he underwent on Wednesday will have him back on deck and ready to take on Manly in round one," said a statement on the Bulldogs website.

"The early reports from the medical experts are very encouraging with the operation being a great success.

"This was highlighted by the fact he was released from hospital today despite not being expected to be released until approximately Monday prior to the operation.

If its true about Patten, which i do doubt Then Hazem to fullback.

Not barba, not crisp, with all due respect to Hazem, His safe and reliable under the highball and positional play is quite good. It also gives an opportunity to faster wingers like Goodwin you is quite quick a chance =].

hickey for fullback
We couldnt leave him out the back by himself, he would be sneaking over the fence for hotdogs every 5 minutes.

I'm being told the same thing. And if that's right, the person who started this thread should be banned for just making stuff up to get a headline. Sounds like a Tele journalist doesn't it?

There was a rumor, and I state only a rumor, that I heard from (honest truth) a friend of my dads who knows people at St George...

But there were talks of the Dogs possibly making Brett Morris an offer.

===========

Barba will not be playing fullback, but #6 the entire year.
