Why do people wanna play Foran at 7 - he's a waste there and has played his best footy at 6. You may as well play me at 7.
Ah what?

Foran played 7 for the eels and killed it.
Don’t care what number is on his back. Foran is the dominate and call making half for us

Cleeland seems to have more ability than Frawley. He runs the ball , which Frawley rarely does.
He and Foran will compliment each other very well. Doesnt matter which number Foran wears, as he has a lot of ability and will play both sides.

Fact is, pay has come in fresh, no preconceptions, no favorites, nothing. If pay has decided Frawley deserves first crack, he has seen something in him, and that’s enough for me.

Yep that really says it all I think.
And the club wanted to get Cogger for this season if possible.
I don't know how anyone could be confident about Frawley based on what we saw last season.
I have no clue about Cleeland.

Our spine is a totally unproven factor.
At this stage one of the weakest in the competition.
tbh you cant judge any player from last year now that we know that Hasler was instructing players to play his style of football..Im giving everyone this year to show us what they are worth.

Our ISP side played better without Frawley in the side...so it's not like he waa playing well before he was promoted to first grade.

Foran will play left side 99 times out of a hundred. Funny thing is that Cleeland is a specialist right side player
They would compliment each other well
Your wrong Foran is playing right side this year.

I honestly think that Pay will let both halves play either side and play whats in front of them. I dont believe he will restrict them like most coaches do. I personally believe that would benefit the team so much more.

Besides everyone needs to give Frawley a break. Last year was his first year with Des as coach and Reynolds or Mbye as a havles partner add to that the whole team playing shit plus the uncertainty of weather or not is in the team each week. Des made it impossible for Frawley to build combos last year. Foran is the dominant half this year. Ill agree Frawley was terrible last year.

But its a new year new structure new coach another full preseason under his belt.

Lets just all give Frawley a chance and see how he goes. If he fails then changes will be made. Im confident he will do well with Foran as his partner.

He will probably play predominantly on the right and through the middle. Don't think a combo of Frawley and Foran would work that well if they consistently switched sides.

You have to remember that Frawley was a world beater in his first few games and we were all acting like the messiah has arrived. Then as the season deteriorated and everyone not just Frawley dropped their heads the confidence dropped, which when all your teammates drop in confidence so does your half. Given the newfound feeling through the team i think young Frawley will quietly surprise everyone and will be lovely to have two halves who have a great short kicking game in their red zone.

This! We were all drooling over Frawley’s first few games, and then the Hasler effect took over, and the rest is history! Frawley will surprise a lot of people this season having someone like Foran next to him! Foran makes players around him play better, that will be the difference! Don’t underestimate us winning the comp, we are as good a chance as any other team!

He is an ordinary player. Quite possibly a very nice fella. Not, though, a Premiership winning five-eight. We don't get anywhere near the top 8 with Frawley, Tolman, B.Morris, J.Morris, Eastwood, Elliot in the side.

Most players went backwards under Hasler - the style of play in First grade and NSW Cup didn't allow for players particularly halves to develop. Just on speed and individual ability Cleeland showed more in NSW Cup than any others BUT have to wonder why he was behind Nu Brown at Cronulla and has yet to play FG.

Foran makes players around him better. Best comment ive read on the kennel. Thats exactly right Foran makes players around him better. Reynolds or Mbye dont have the ability or class to do that. In fact there are only a hand full of players in the nrl that can do that and Foran is one of them. We are lucky to have him.

Im more worried about how Mbye will handle the def side of things at fb and his goal kicking, rather than worried about Frawley at 5/8.

Foran is probably the best 5/8 in the game. He doesnt need to be told where to play.
He will be in the right spot when needed. I think Cleeland offers more than Frawley as he can run the ball. Something Frawley rarely does.
When Cleeland sees an opening he will go for it. And he has the ability to offload as well.

Certainly prepared to let him have first chance. Remember when he first played FG all of a sudden there were kicks and tries again, the longer he stayed in FG the worse he got.....I put that down to Hasbeen. The more influence he had over him (all our players) the worse they got. Play for your position and may the best player win.
