Forward pack also needs to be well balanced we have some smaller bodies such as MORRIN, Brown etc even Max King is down to around 105kg we need some bigger 110 kg bodies. All we have is Pele and when not injured is only good for 15 min. Need some 110 kg guys with decent motor. Plus probs another 105 kg prop who's solid in the middle with D.
What a shame Manly just beat us to Woods :D Just kidding, but maybe it wouldn't be a bad to look to the Islands i.e., PNG, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, etc. send some scouts out we may get some big, bodied guys cheap a lot of other teams seem to do it

Been talking him up for a while Tom Hazleton. He's stuck behind a few and isn't getting any younger. The right offer Sharks could let him go
Thursday Night Football, Gus said he is mates with Gus’s Son, and very close with the family. Surely they are talking about coming to the Dogs.

8. Moeaki Fotuaika/Tevita Tatola
9. Reed Mahoney
10. Payne Haas
11. Villiame Kikau
12. Keaon Koloamatangi
13. Tevita Pangai Junior

If the Roosters can afford to keep every player they have and sign every player in the comp, we have should have no problem signing Haas, Fotuaika and Koloamatangi.

Rudolf is gay and kisses men. I'm sure no bulldogs fan would want a gay shire escort. BHU loves the shire and also would never leave. Jai Arrow is no different from Waddell. Hopgood is not leaving Parra.
I’ve also kissed a lot of men. Do you want me gone also ‘Omar Hamdan’? :(

Dream scenario would obviously be Haas but I'd be happy with
JWH - teach the young guys how to not only be a prop but both a leader and enforcer.
Royce Hunt - guys a beast, plays like a Bulldog of old.
Schonig - bench/depth player, runs hard and plays aggressive, currently doing a great job in qld cup.

8. MAX KING
9. REED MAHONEY
10. JARED WAEREA-HARGREAVES
11. VILIAME KIKAU
12. JACOB PRESTON
13. TEVITA PANGAI JUNIOR

14. JERAL SKELTON
15. ROYCE HUNT
16. DARRYN SCHONIG
17. KURTIS MORRIN

Didn't see the broadcast as I was at work ... But that's very promising to hear, hopefully it leads to something

Would of agreed with you on Waddell in previous seasons. This year I think he has actually been a standout for us sing with Preston and King
Agree, he has lost the drop balls and dumb penalties. He has always given 110% and with his discipline improved so far this year I would be happy to see him in our colours next year.

I am a fan. JWH for a few years would be good. His leadership more than anything. We have alot of good forwards and him leading them would be huge

We also need a better lock to help our halves, preastoric not having a ball playing lock, just stupid.
We absolutely do need this. I think we have two options internally. King and Edwards. I would like to see Edwards fill the role this year and see what he can do. Playing King with our current prop availability/ rotation isn’t possible. He is needed in the Front row when he comes back from injury.

We need to get an Alpha Prop and an Organising Halfback. Neither need to be the superstar but depending on other decisions around the roster and finances available. Two quality players in these two positions would make our squad balanced for the first time in years.

Royce Hunt extends with Cronulla till the end of 2025. Didn’t even explore his options. Fuck him and Cronulla. Not angry at all as he’s turning 28 soon.

We’ve already snared big bopper Frank the Tank from them already. He’s a massive loss for the Sharks.

Now let’s focus on trying to sign big man Payne Haas. Tevita needs to convince him to come. Shoegrab his favourite store is here.

We should be cutting our losses with both Waddell (especially) and Thompson. Due to us waiting until nothing is in the market (why?) maybe we have to try and keep Thompson but Super League clubs are going to offer him massive overs. We need to find 2 contracted middles somehow.
You must be watching different games to me, Waddell has been good this year. Thompson at his current price though is a sell.

Hunt's been poor this year but he was one of the best props off contract too.

My opinion on Waddell is based on his 3 years here. Not just a few games in his 3rd year. I personally don't rate what he offers on an edge (even when playing "well"). I'd much prefer we go with our kids as back-up options/benchies.

I'm in the minority that would let Waddell go too mate, I can acknowledge that he's having a good season for us so far however I haven't forgotten his previous years of rubbish with us, how often do we see players playing good footy during contract years then go straight back to crap once they know they've got a pay check coming in for another several years. As a depth player on close to minimum wage I'd consider it but that's never gonna happen as he'll want an upgrade on what he's already on which is probably around 300k-ish.

With Davey now gone we need to buy or promote or resign in my opinion 4-5 forwards for next year. Personally I would resign Waddell for a 2 year just above minimum deal. On the fence with Thommo, would need to take a substantial pay cut. From reserves Hughes has looked a lot better and bigger this year, could step up. Lipo Hopoi as well seems to have impact when he come on could make the step up. Seve and the QLD bloke from Ball probs need another year.
So say resign Waddell promote Hughes and maybe one more still need to go into the market for at least 2 forwards, one would need to be rep standard to replace Thommo. We also never really replaced a rep quality forward in Vaughn IMO. So really we need to sign 2 rep quality forwards for next year to be serious about 2024. Not sure what is out there maybe England?
Yes agree. We have never really replaced Vaughan. Mistake to let him go imo. I felt he still had 2 good years in him.
Thompson is a real conundrum. Due to suspensions, concussions, injuries and family issues, has been very poor value. Since he does not return until late this year at best, just before his contract finishes, would be a major gamble to re-sign him. I think he’ll get better money back in ESL & will go there. So need someone to replace him as well imo
