Looked like the Alpha forward we need surely he is a lock in the team

Surely after that short aggressive cameo he gets on in the 77th min next week if he's lucky

he should be but won’t be. Hughes will be back in. Curran also will come back in.

For mine Curran comes straight in at 13
14. Mann
15. Hayes
16. Sitili
17. DSF

For Ciro Salmon & Hayward must be in the team. Ciro will pick
13. Salmon
14. Mann
15. Hayward
16. Sitili
17. Curran

Would be a shame to play salmon Hayward And co over players like Hayes, Mann, Sitili who changed the momentum of the game. Especially Sitili and Hazza. When they ran on we were rolling down the field and both were best on field in that period. We probably lose without Sitili today.

It’s still only round 1 so im hoping we are still in the tweaking phase. I feel Kiks was out there too long. Hayes and Mann probably not long enough. Hayward came on very very late in the game. To be honest he is a half/hooker and didn’t offer anything in his short time on the field. Doesn’t drive in tackle with the shoulders. Doesn’t run as hard as Mann etc.

Maybe ciro will take a horses for courses approach. Some days he has a bigger bench others a smaller one? I just hope the 17 isn’t locked and only injuries changes that. DSF is probably the starter we need and bring king on after 15-20 mins and he can basically play through 65 then come back on for the last 10. I honestly think Kings footwork and offload will be better suited after the first 15-20 min bash a thon. In saying that he was probably top 3 players on the field tonight. So can’t see cirro not starting him.

He's unfortunately straight out for Hughes next week.
Playing against his old club might pump him up a little so I wouldn't be too disappointed if he keeps his position but what a great position we are in with our forwards this year. Thomson next year wow, we will have some grunt up front and pressure on positions will see our pack dominate

I agree, and I would hope he is open to changing the pack depending on who we are playing and in what conditions.
Titans have a big pack - RCG and Fotuaika up front with Fifita, Fermor and Tino in the back row.
I would like to have a dominant alpha forward on our side to stand up to those guys.
We still have enough agile guys to move them around and find the cracks, especially if we are playing on a dry, fast track.

King
Mahoney
DSF
Kikau
Preston
Salmon
Mann
Sitili
Curran
Hughes

8. King
9. Otukolo
10. Hughes
11. Kikau
12. Preston
13. Curran
14. Todd
15. Sitili
16. Mann
17. DSF

19. Hayes
20. Mahoney (has some dumb shit in his game needs a reminder he’s not a certain selection every week, he might start using his brain hopefully)

Hayes offers more for mine than Salmon.
I'd like to see Curran start at 13 and bring Mann, Sitili and Hayes on at the same time. King to the bench is an idea worth contemplating. Much like a certain blonde Englishman we used to bring off the bench.

Almost every forward we have offers more than Salmon, certain fans have just be gaslighted into believing otherwise.

There's a battle for most positions in the top squad now and it's exactly what we need! DSF will be a handy squad member because with all the mobile blokes you still need a few big bodies.
