There actually wasn't way more goals overall in the 2018 group stage. In the 2018 group stage there was an average of 2.54 goals per game. In this World Cup it's 2.39 goals per game & there are many more games left to make that average higher.

Half the games I've seen have been underwhelming while this WC also lacks the feel of other WC's, it's just so meh. I prefer club football over international football anyway.

I reckon it has been OK too.. though i'm not a die-hard fan of the round ball game I like the do or die nature of WC sometimes the boring draws are because of this noone wants to flinch.
The fails too Japan for eg..the Germans crucially get a draw later but were looking down the barrel before the Japan match, now likely "cruise" into 2nd unless Spain tank?

Our Aussie die-hards have gone over the top as per usual with that win..hope I'm wrong but disappointment may await them, though the Danes have been poor and we did draw against them in the last WC..however it wasn't the last round of the group stage then.

It probably slightly better. Why not just stand in one line, or if available, grab a bench or some chairs FFS. it just looks like some odd bumsex is about to occur (which would be forbidden in Qatar of course).
