so the new cup competition is taking place, sydney olympic leading 3-1 over manly for example, i took a look at the structure and it disappointed me tbh

its not a total open draw, A League teams will be drawn against each other so that some of them must be eliminated and so the smaller teams have a chance to get through

this sounds artificial to me, so hopefully the fix it up and make it pure like the FA cup in the future

I have a msall interest in soccer, and was just watching the highlights of recent games on ABC24.

My question is: why do 4 of the A-League sides get an "easier" draw (noting WSW were beaten before going on to beat the Asian Champions), and he remaining 6 had to slug it our in round 1?

not really, don't watch a lot of a-league/FFA cup. I will keep an eye on my local side though
