with the new salary cap a ~800k prop is worth ~1m. A marquee edge is now being paid 1m. Props are more valuable.

Who knows the reason, Dragons/tigers possibly offering 1.2/1.3 mil or silly numbers. Probably the right decision if it is getting silly/desperate. Great player but I would be worried if we offered him 5 years at 1 mil plus. Can see his knees going and his form dropping rapidly a bit like Fafita at the sharks and in 2 years going from the best prop in the game to only being able to play 20 min.

Hopefully the tigers get him and Luai and pay through the nose, that way we may be able to get Klemmer on a good deal. Klemmer would solve our issues for a couple of years and is very resilient.

We are never winning a title again unless we have a top 7 prop. AFB is a top 7 prop.

Not against it but not for it. People on here have to realise that if our end goal is for a premiership (and it should be) you need your Kikau types in a premiership side. You do need your meat players too (props, etc). Personally I'd be not going after AFB, always go back to what Bennett said about props, and that is no prop is worth north of 500k. There are a few exceptions but generally the greatest coach in the modern era knows what he's talking about.
