I wonder if Ennis can donate his heart to Barney when he retires?

I think dignity and respect should earn him one more season in tandem with Lichaa. Ennis 70% and Lichaa at 30%. At best a second season in tandem with Lichaa at 70% with Ennis 30% field time.

Panthers had the same problem with Kingston and Sageyaro... So I think the dogs will offer him one more year in tandem.

He's got a job in media waiting for him anyway so im sure hell just retire.

Yeah I agree with this, assuming Ennis would still want that year.

If he is only assured 1 more year here he might want to consider elsewhere at clubs that don't currently have a first-grade hooker, *cough* Knights *cough* , rather than search next year when other teams might have filled that void

I would have a real problem if we left Ennis out to dry. He came to us when we were wooden spooners and we couldn't recruit a player to save ourselves. He has done tremendous work promoting our club and it's obvious he loves the place.
Plus the 30-40 tackles he makes every game will be sorely missed just as it was when Stagg left.
I hope we let him go on his terms

Surely he is smart enough to know it's best for the team and the game has changed where most teams run with two hookers. He can take it like a man or go to yet another club.
I don't know who would take him though. He might have to drag Simone & the kids to England
You would think so. I think he will return to Newcastle and finish his career there.

If this is true then I hope he just goes. The last thing we need is a captain chucking a hissy fit over being slowly replaced. Surely he sees that we need more spark.
You never know this might kick him into gear and he may force Des into re signing him. Just like Kevin Kingston did.

I bet you it's got something to do with Ennis.
The club could also be waiting till after that round 13 rule, although they didn't with fifita. Unless the sharkies agreed to it, fifitas contract can't be lodged with the nrl yet.
