English DvD's

Does any one know if dvd's purchased in england will work in australia. It has pal written on the cover which is what i think australian dvd's have. thanks for uor time

No they wont unless you have a multi-region DVD player. Australia uses Region 4 players and Most of Europe use Region 2.

Though you're right about the PAL bit. No problem there.

most bodge no brand dvd players will play them tho. thats the beauty.
i buy dvds from over seas all the time.

Thats what ****s me off, I got a $700 upscaling DVD player that can only play region 4 disc.

It pays to look into the product you are buying instead of just buying the most expensive because you think it might be better.

I got it because it was one of the cheapest half decent upscaling (high def) DVD player, you need one of these for a HD plasma or else DVD's look ****house.

true, i've got $69 dvd player from bing lee that plays everything
