The Mole: Dragons sponsor threatens to pull pin over de Belin

ST GEORGE Bank is considering pulling out of its long-running sponsorship of the Dragons if Jack de Belin is allowed to play while having sexual assault charges hanging over his head.

Wide World of Sports has learned that senior bank officials are worried about the impact allowing de Belin to play will have on the club’s image, as well as its sponsors.

De Belin went to court yesterday, fighting the NRL’s decision to stand players down while they are awaiting trial on serious offences carrying terms of 11 years or more.

A ruling is expected next Thursday - the day the NRL season kicks off.

In an embarrassing back down that will help de Belin’s case, the NRL was forced to concede that the NRL’s rule banning players has yet to be put in place.

St George Bank is already worried about its image following the banking Royal Commission and doesn’t want to take another ‘hit’ to its brand.

It is believed bank officials have told the Dragons that they would prefer that de Belin remains on the sidelines until his case is heard.

.....

If they lose St George Bank the clubs in all sorts. Lets hope St George pull out, and they are forced to merge with Cronulla and relocate to Perth to become the St George-Illawarra Cronulla-Sutherland Perth-Freemantle Pirate Sharkdragons.

After all the drama with banks in recent times are they really in any position to judge?
I don’t even get the logic anyway. I don’t know anybody that is linking the bank with JdB’s struggles.

He looks like this Sad son of bitch. One of the devils that murdered Anita Cobby. I think one of these Murphy brothers died in prison recently. One way ticket to fire and brimstone. Screenshot_20190309-151737_Google.jpeg

St.George Bank confirms sponsorship commitment to Dragons club amid Jack de Belin saga

St.George Bank has quashed speculation it is considering terminating its decades-old partnership with the Dragons over the Jack de Belin rape allegations.

Recent reports have claimed St.George Bank will review its major sponsorship agreement with the Dragons if de Belin is successful in challenging the NRL's suspension.
According to one article, the big four bank is already concerned about its public image after the fallout from the banking royal commission and wants to keep clear of further controversy.

But St.George Bank says the rumours are completely false and confirmed it will continue its affiliation with the Dragons.

"Last year we extended our partnership with St.George Illawarra Dragons for a further three years," said a St.George Bank representative. "This almost four-decade partnership is a proud one that is one of the longest running in Australian sporting history and includes a strong commitment beyond the elite to grassroots rugby league and most recently the women's team. "We look forward to continuing this support."

Why? Fuck the dragons. There part of the opposition. I hope the bank walks.
Because you stand by your team when they're being fucked in every hole by the media.

Tell me what did Jaycar do for us again when we were being unfairly treated?
