agree with what the Lafai comments...
but as much as the halves aren't working, I dont think Roberts is the answer for the 5/8 position either....
Roberts may not be the answer, but he hasn't had a decent try with our best side to actually show whether he is the answer or not. He showed in 2009 that he can perform there, I believe he would have been key to a better 2010 as well, if he didn't miss a majority of the season.
We don't have any other options right now and it's clear as day that playing Keating is not working, so why not try something else? You know what they say about insanity, trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Not good, but at least that hack roberts is not in the team.
So what is Keating then? Stop hating for the sake of it. Our team has been unsuccessful without him in the side, and at least he has shown he has the impetus and ability to create, something neither of our current halves can do.
Oh and he has a long kicking game that doesn't go 40 metres up in the air and straight to the fullback/winger. I genuinely feel that our toothless attacking performances can be partly attributed to not giving Roberts, a player who can actually run the ball and give ball to his outside players, more of a chance.
Nah, let's keep slagging off Roberts and watch Keating waste quality possession with his non-existent running game and waste the skills of quality players like Josh Morris and Frank Pritchard.
Some of the hate leveled at Roberts is just pathetic. If people could actually justify Keating being ahead of Roberts, that'd be fine, but I am yet to see it.
In before 5 years, and herp derp Roberts did a grubber on third tackle once.
