Good for a laugh on eels site. They have a few saying get Mahoney out door now and get Hodgson over. Trying to convince themselves it’s an upgrade. Yeh raiders finished outside 8 and Hodgson was wayyyyy off what he has been. Age and injury caught up. Numerous times overplayed his hand and got exposed. He was a great 9 but his days are done. The only reason it is a better move for the eels now is moving on someone who doesn’t want to be there and the eels can probably get the second year moved forward meaning they aren’t wasting cap on him in 24 when he’s completely done.

I dont think we are letting go of Thompson, it was cotric because imo was more overpaid then the two as cotric realistically played the worth of about half of his contract whereas Thompson played much better. Paulo will go to the dolphins or us imo, eels just blew their cap on hodgson and simmonson but might still be able to afford him, only see paulo coming to us is if he wants to stay in Sydney but money is more so important which im sure the dolphins will offer.

Fmd, what a bunch of hilarious clowns. Only read a few comments and most are saying Hodgson is better than Reed

Maybe 2 years ago, but he's barely NRL standard these days and will be decrepid by the time he puts on an eels jersey.

Hodgson is better than Mahoney it's just how fit he is physically. He looked well off the pace but then again Raider as a whole have been shocking, Stuart might be coach killing the players.

hodgson is not better than Mahoney, he cant even make the raiders top13 at present, how is he going to be in 2 years time.

Para think that they have the roosters appeal and that players stay or come on unders to play for them and it back fired massively.

Now they are taking whoever they can get their hands on, I generally don't get satisfaction out of seeing clubs suffering but Para has a special place where they derves what they get.

These days it doesn't mean a lot. Cotric is only seeing out 1 of 3 years it seems for example. If they turn to shit put em in reserves and soon enough they wanna go to the tigers

Parra fans also have a delusional belief that their coaching team turns turds into diamonds. That's only true for the odd player. Papalli is the most notable, but who else have they signed in recent years that has improved hugely? If any have improved it's only been marginally (Gutho, Moses,?...) as any player would in a good squad. Guys like Lane, Matto, Waqa, N.Brown, RCG and Opacic, haven't been much different to their best at their previous clubs.

Maybe their brains are tricking them, or they actually do believe this, but they reckon Brad Arthur will make Hodgson great again. It's not his willingness and skill that's the issue, it's the fact his body is completely fucked. Two bung knees mainly.
