I keep seeing people saying it hasn't been announced because maybe they are trying to get them for 2022. That makes no sense at all. There's no harm in announcing they've been signed for 2023. If by the off chance they get a release then sweet we can announce they're coming early.

So when the 9 players come off contract in 2023 they don’t free up any Cap space. That’s like the Chooks except in reverse, when their players come off contract they free up double the Cap space, but when ours come off contract they free up zero.

Start worrying IF the mainstream media start reporting on it. If true they would get a sniff of it. Maybe the NRL won't register the contracts because we're over the cap for 2023 until we can successfully shop Cotric and / or possibly others like Thompson or like others have said we're negotiating to get one of them early. The club would obviously be trying to negotiate the best price they can get for shopping players which may take a while. I'm pretty sure the club would have signed contracts by now for Kikau and Mahoney. Registering them with the NRL is another story and they wouldn't want to officially announce until the players were registered. Another possibility is we're not finished yet and working on signing Paulo or someone else or a swap
