While I hope the young fellow makes it and has similar success to his dad and uncle but there's a long road ahead. Plenty of second generation players go well in the lower grades but never make the jump to the NRL.
I can't think of a huge number right now but just kids from our greats in Daniel Mortimer & Dean Britt. Both made the NRL but didn't get far. I guess that the kids of NRL stars probably have the advantage of getting taught the value of hard work, and in some cases they'd get access to the best in coaching. But I struggle to think of a second generation player that's had a big career.
