Simple get rid of Holland, Montoya and Lafai and use there money to get him, Smith and a halfback.
No one would want them plus lafai only signed for this year so can’t really sell him

might only be top 26 next year
"Miggt be". Still need to field a reserve grade side though.
In any case, the money saved on bot renewing contracts will also need to go towards upgrading contracts, and signing new players. None of know the and and outs of this and at this point in time.

What a stupid misinformed and misleading story. Currently have these players with many not offered a contract next season. So losing 3 backs to sign 1. Also 1.8million dollar signing. No he is a 675k signing. He will be here next year for 675k as a centre not winger. Sheesh but no one questions money hungry Carr wanting the best of both worlds. Wants to move to Sydney for family but wants to get richer as well. So is it he want to be in syd or Melb said no to fullback and an upgrade. Melb want a swap as well. What a headache.
There should be a rule in the NRL that if you break a contract with one club, you cannot get an increased contract at another. This MIGHT tone down some of the selfish Player Manager behaviour.

A good winger is only as good as the pass or kick he receives. JAC would be rubbish for us. We need a spine with vision.

Yep right call. JAC, an unproved FB, for $600K or Staines, a gun FB in the juniors, for $300K - easy choice
Finally we seem to be getting these calls right
Hopefully we pulled out becuase were negotiating with Staines
agree with your comments but I'll say JAC would be asking for a fair more than 600 if he's declaring he's a FB. It makes sense to go for young quality players who have no chance for Origin aka playground for serious injuries and less time for club football.

Investing in a good half and hooker would make these guys into better players.

I'll give Lafai another chance since he's just got back here and provided its at a reasonable amount. Holland and Montoya don't have the attributes to become top class players, neither have much skill, speed or strength and they've had plenty of chances with the years they've spent here. Lafai at least can break tackles and at least had the discipline to get into shape with his physique.

Wests Tigers clear to snare Josh Addo-Carr as Canterbury pull plug on chase
The Wests Tigers will have clear running to transform NSW State of Origin star Josh Addo-Carr into a fullback with rivals Canterbury withdrawing their interest in the try-machine.
Addo-Carr’s signature is now the Tigers to lose with News Corp Australia learning that incoming Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett is loath to add another winger to his long-list of outside backs in 2021.
The Dogs currently boast backs Will Hopoate, Nick Meaney, Tim Lafai, Reimis Smith, Jake Averillo, Marcelo Montoya and Kerrod Holland on their books with $1.8 million signing from Canberra, Nick Cotric, also on his way to Belmore next year.
Canterbury management believe that signing Addo-Carr, who has long been connected to the club, would prove salary cap suicide.
Addo-Carr has made no secret of his desire to leave Melbourne and return to Sydney to be closer to family and it’s expected the Storm will release the Test winger on compassionate grounds at the end of the season.
Yeah, our backs are so good we select our best centre at fullback so we can put our only FG FB on the wing cos he’s a better wing option than any of the others.

The shit dealt by the team again for 60min should be enough to tell any first grade coach the team needs complete overhaul

I would love to think this is more media bullshit but knowing this club it seems completely on par with everything else they do

Yes JAC is a luxury we don't need.

hooker, punchy forward, half.
In that order.

we don't have enough squad space for someone else.

so McInnes/smith/Clark. Pangai and Townsend.

if we have a bit left over maybe that Staines dude at FB. However I see nothing to suggest he's any bettter or worse than Meaney

jac wants to be signed as a fullback, double the worth of a winger, he's unproven there, because he's a good winger doesn't make him a good fullback
