Do you remember these companies?

Does anyone remember Mick Simmons sports store on George St.
I remember getting paid cash every Thursday and heading straight there.
It’s still there mate - only it’s moved to the corner of George & Market Sts. And look what Uncle Mick sells:

I still can’t believe the business has survived all these years good on them.
Great looking shorts for cutting the grass this summer in the shire lol should upset a few neighbours.
Do you remember the World Series Cricket merchandise back in the day sprawled across the front.

Not only do I remember it, but in about 2007 I bought a retro WSC uniform to wear to the Movember party at Luna Park when I went as Merv Hughes - oh to be carefree and frivolous again :-).

Are they just online these days?

I remember as an 18 year old when I first moved to the "big smoke", I went to the city store and was amazed at the range of jerseys there.
I'm sure it's open, well pre-lockdown.

Google search shows it's in the same location.

you ruined my streak :o was reading all the businesses and I knew them all, except this one
On Parramatta Road was the largest car yard outlet. Had one at Cabramatta as well.
He was a race car driver and unfortunately committed suicide.

Anyone remember Jewel supermarket ?
They were cheaper than Franklins.
Were they the ones that had black textas where you had to write the price on the item to be manually entered by the check-out chick? So primative :-).
