Norman Ross.... Did Harvey Norman buy them out or merge or something?
Early version of Harvey Norman, from memory, with other retailers involved. I seem to remember one at Bankstown. The Sports Club expanded and built over where it used to be.
Gerry Harvey worked for Norman Ross. He went to Ian Norman and asked for a $1,000,000 loan to start a new business called ‘Harvey Norman’ with Ian Norman as a major shareholder. Within 12 months from memory Gerry Harvey paid Norman the money back with interest. I only know as I’ve read his book.
