I have no idea why people have a hard on for Cook. The guy is just another jack of all trades, master of none. He can run fast, kinda pass, kinda kick, meh.

Frawley isn't a weapon yet, he is just something somewhat different than what we have had for the last few years. He has a kicking game, but not enough experience to be good all of the time.

This whole Lichaa for 25 mins thing needs to stop. Just suck it up and play Mbye at hooker and Frawley at 7, at least for a couple of games to see what happens.

sorry , too many spastics plays in the game tonight.

the one i was referring to when Frawley kicked on the first tackle to the left ...that stupid play was Des's great plan to score in the corner. lol
Frawley made the wrong decision on that occasion
Tigers read it well
Not Des fault for that mate

it was Des structured set play.... Frawley was putting grubbers in goal and taking on the line for last 3 weeks

all was missing today, he was putting up useless bombs today just like his predecessors.

It is a prefect case of Dejavu.

Frawley had first 3 exceptional games just like Cook

Then we saw Cook going into his shell and started playing dumb des structured footy and Cook lost all his spark and rest is history.

Today we saw Frawley not put one grubber, not took on the line once, but instead he was either standing and passing or putting a high bomb.

I can already see he has been told to play as per Des's structures and not be a hero just like Cook.
So much lol in this thread, starting with the original post.

Zee.
You are relatively new to footy I can tell
And you have never played the game have you?

You need to keep watching footy and learning the intricacies of how it's played.

He's an impact hooker, just like Segeyaro. He'll do some damage in short minutes, score tries, etc, but when you need to create structured play, get the ball to the right area, know when to run, when to pass, when to kick, that's not his strong suit.

yeah been watching the game for last 15 years... played a bit of touch

but even my 9 year old knows how dumb is our repetitive predictive boring style of footy.

This is true. When you come in you're playing on instinct and what you're trained as you grow up. Eventually the coach trains that out of you and gets you to play the structures he wants. That was Frawley this week. Trained to be a Des puppet.

Doesn't matter anyway as long as the hooker is playing Des tactics. Look at Ennis. The moment he left and no longer has to play under Des tactics he became the best hooker in the game and lead his team to a grand final win.

I think Cook is the better player personally but under Des it's all pointless.
Exactly the game plan is just shit doesn't matter whose playing in the main spots they aren't going to play exciting footy

You can't be serious? Let me ask you this question. Based on what you see and know who would you rather have in our team right now? Lichaa or cook?

Cook (daylight) lichaa... who's still running back to get onside
Neither of them are setting the world on fire. We bought a specialist hooker in woolford. They should be giving him a taste of 1st grade. Specialist halfback Frawley came in and going great apart from today. There is just no spark at all playing lichaa for 20 mins then playing mbye at hooker. He isn't a 9 never will be des needs to pick a spine and stick with it and none of Bulldogs 1,6,7,9 are in their correct position

Des Hasler is doing what Des Hasler knows best and that is, being Des Hasler! And Frawley should do what cook did and get the hell out! If I'm Frawley, I would be telling my manager to get me the hell out of this joint because the mad scientist has begun to do some experimenting that is going to destroy my stock value!

Problem is this:
Lichaa - wants to play hooker, but is hopeless. There's potential but he's not hitting it. Most likely been told to find another club, so playing down on confidence.

Mbye - seems like he doesn't WANT to play hooker, and it's coming through a bit in his performances. Sour grapes perhaps, but several times today Frawley was screaming for the ball (and commentators had highlighted space on his side) yet Mbye ignored him and went to Reynolds side. Not to mention Reynolds taking most of the kicks.

Frawley
- Wasn't allowed to control the game and our own players almost kept him shut out of the game by not giving him ball.

Reynolds
- had no help from anyone today.

That wasn't just a spur of the moment decision. That was a set play they would have practiced all week but it's a play you'd use in the very last minute of the half or when you're up by a try. Dumb to use it then though.

If you doubt Mbye would deny Frawley the ball because he didn't want him to succeed in the halves go and watch the replay of the Broncos game when Frawley scored. The whole team congratulated him except Mbye who looked like his dog died. The entire situation at the club has become toxic.

Broncos game? You mean Knights?

Anyway big call to say he is sabotaging...I believe maybe mbye has a lot on his mind..? But deliberately sabotaging is massive..

Seems like 2017 is a write off and I'd await the arrival of foran.

how can you credit des for frawleys skill set?
When Frawley doesn't play his normal game then yeah des becomes suspect number one, he's done it to cook and Ennis , even Lichaa admits it.
Wait so you can't credit des when we play well but you can blame him when we don't? Do you think that Frawley went out there without any plan the last 3 weeks and des only decided to tell him what to do this week?
