To be honest, I think this is a good problem to have. Imagine the amount of competition with T-Rex in the side next season as well.

Dene has the experience and has been part of a GF winning side. A lot will be saying drop Payne to accommodate Halatau in the team, unfortunately I think it will be Finucane though. I doubt Halatau will be named in the team this week, only on the basis that he said he felt rusty and was just happy to have gotten through the match (so they may decide its more appropriate in terms of physical condition to leave him for another week).

Look sh*t aside here, manly are one heck of a team. We need the best defence we have, and thats what dene is good for the most, that strong ability to contribute to the grind. I say bench him.

He also has a line break and off load in him as well. He was in great form prior to being injured and will come into the squad fit and well. He has finals experience and has won a G.F. Dene is an important part of the team.

I lol at people saying drop Martin. Haven't you guys been watching the game at all? Lol

Experience is what is needed Vs Manly!!!!
Would Hala be eligible to play finals footy in reserve grade, Given he has only played 1 game for them this year?
Dont know if their is such a Rule??????????

I don't know about this Haletau guy....but I'd definately have Halatau in there that's for sure.

If he is fit enough then he should definitely be on the bench. He has the experience in these games, was in great form prior to injury and is capable of the grinding defense that we will need in this type of game.

Halatau should be one of the first picked.
It cant be for dale as dale is playing as a prop real tight around the ruck.
It can only be for jackson and payne and in my humble opinion it must be for jj.
Nothing helps more in finals matches than experience and dean has been there and done it all before.
He led the nrl with most completed one on one tackles and is far stronger than jackson as a whole.
Hala to start and jj an payne to fight over bench spot!!

Mmmm Don't think we should drop Dale. He came on for 15-20 minutes against Roosters and made 75 metres off 8 hit ups and something like 15 tackles. He is a hell of a lot productive than Corey Payne and given that Manly will try to bash us through the edges, Dale needs to be there. Corey is a lot more prone to making mistakes/missed tackles.

14. Graham
15. Finucane
16. Haletau
17. Stagg

Should be straight back in without a second thought before he was injured he was number 1 in the NRL for one on one completed tackles. He has heaps of pace and is our best LINE runner with lots of pace. Halatau will go to second row with jackson to lock and eastwood back to the bench payne to drop off

while first grade is still alive, he is eligible

if first grade was eliminated and ressies were still alive, he'd be ineligible

halatau has to play, either payne or finucane to make way, i think drop finucane, his perfromances have been good but we lack experience as it is and finucane probably progresses better playing 70 minutes in a nsw cup semi then less then 10 minutes for first grade and thats what payne and finucane are battling for, the other 16 will player the brunt of the minutes

Halatau will play and Finucane will be dropped - for obvious reasons

Halatau's an automatic selection and should be at Payne's expense; really need Hala's experience for the finals and especially first up against Manly.

Having so many quality players is a nice problem to have and works in our favour in terms of managing attrition over the coming weeks.

It's the way Des has worked with injured players this year, you have to wait for another injury to get your spot back, I just hope the gamble works this time as rookies don't always stand up in semi finals and sometimes get overawed in GF's.

You guys have no idea???

Then who would you drop? Payne's finals experience is needed and Jackson looks like a seasoned veteran the way he is playing.

Finucane doesn't deserve to be dropped but out of the bench he is the weakest link, mind you he isn't weak at all which says something about our bench

Dene will play for sure if he is fit.

Probably one of Jackson or Finucane will make way.

Halatau must be in team. He still remembers how to tackle. Don't think his injury was amnesia.
