Defusing the short kick off

This is a Bulldogs characteristic, along with having tough forwards and slow wingers. Been watching the Dogs for 30 years and i reckon we defuse 5% of the short kick offs we received, and win 5% of the short kick offs we attempt...
At least we are consistent at something!!!

This also relates to our problems in kick chase , when we've put up a bomb. we don't put enough pressure to contest the ball in the air, and seem to stand around, wait for the ball to bounce, by which time the advantage is gone and the ball is back with the opposition team.

They gotta run harder, and jump higher.

a few sessions with some AFL trainers on mark taking might help us
