This hasn't generated much interest on the kennel so I don't think I'll waste my time posting any updates on this topic

So sad for Damian and his family

It appears the NRL
The knights
The footy show
And a few prominent individuals in the game that I have personally engaged to help don't care at all

I can not believe how much help Alex got, a man who just might walk again
A guy who is not married or have any children and dependents

Damian on the other hand worked in a small family business
Has a wife and 3 children
Has a mortgage and is the provider for his family

He will never move more than his head ever again
His life
His wife and children's life are servearly affected and the care factor is almost zero

I'm extremely disappointed

Cheers for the sticky guys

Only just saw this Skippy. The family will have a long and hard road in front of them. In this type of injury, we both know they will be looking for lotto figures to provide whats needed in the way of transport and basic support services over the years. Not to mention another dad who can't get out to kick a ball around with his kids. Even small donations add up and of course you have mine.

Please share on the eels site

Australian motor homes have a son who played with Damian

They are donating a $150k motor home to be raffled

Tickets will be available in a month or so and will be drawn on the footy show at the end of the 2017 season

Finally some support,

There have been other developments

Happy to share for anyone who cares to know

Thanks @Skippy for the update I wish and pray his home for Christmas with his family and friends as well, the journey will be a long road ahead but seems determination will get him there.

DIG DEEP FOR DAMO

NOT all rugby league quadriplegic cases get as much media coverage and support as Alex McKinnon.

Damian Jobson is 35 and a father of two who broke his C4 and C5 vertebrae when a tackle went wrong while playing for Windale recently in the Newcastle rugby league.

A number of fundraisers are being organised for the family and Damian’s long-term care.

The main dinner is at Wests City in Newcastle on August 12. If you would like to donate an auction item or buy a ticket for the dinner, please contactDave Wildvia email at admin@nhrl.com.au.

Just a little update guys,
Damian has made some amazing progress,

Has been able to develope some very minor movement in a shoulder, and that enables him to move himself around in a very limited capacity in a special wheel chair,

Might not sound like much, but to Damian it's a huge achievement,

I also want to mention my appreciation to motor auctions Newcastle for donating the use of a special van that enables the family to take Damian out of the hospital for much needed out door days out.

The family home is not suitable for Damian with stairs and steep driveway,

The family have the home for sale, and have put a deposit on a more suitable property,

So fingers crossed they sell their house at the best possible price,

Just a reminder guys,
The family are doing it very tough,
The generosity of the public and buisness in Newcastle has been amazing, but the family do need more,

If any of my kennel family are in a position to donate,

Please do so, go to the go fund me website,
Look for Damian Jobson,

There is also a Facebook page, rise for Damian,

Please check it out for updates.

Thank you for the update Skippy. It warms the heart to see so many people getting behind this for Damian. It is certainly positive that he has minor movement and I hope that the progress continues in a big way.

I hope that the sale of the home goes well and that the family can garner some encouragement from the support of the general public and the fact that the people of Newcastle have them in their hearts.
Kudos to you too for keeping this in the spotlight, you are a good person.

Hey Skippy,

Not sure if you saw Damian on the Footy Show the other night?

They acknowledged him and urged the crowd/viewers to donate and support him.

He was literally there in the audience with his wife and looked quite well...considering.

I think it was off the back of the Men of League piece they did?

Hopefully some support is really starting to come in for him.....

Yeah mate, I saw it, I knew in advance he was going, I suspected they would chat to him,

It's good to see things starting to happen,

His family are doing as well as can be expected,
Purchased a more suitable house and are trying to sell their existing home,

I hope they get a good price,

Any investors out there,
Their home would make an excellent rental property,
