Viliame Kikau has joined Kalyn Ponga at the top of the Dally M Medal standings after Round 6.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs enforcer starred in his side's 16-14 loss to the Melbourne Storm, picking up maximum points.

Interesting that the two players leading play for clubs that only have 2 wins each.
Yeah we rely on our stars a lot more than the top teams who share the workload a bit more. Kiks has been very impressive this year though. Not many forwards on the list

Kiks has been outstanding, if he continues on this trajectory, it’ll be his best season of football and that’s saying something having had some terrific seasons at Penrith.

Absolute beast this year, if he can keep this up we may have a Smokie for dally m winner. Worth a bet lol

Is it a law that Hynes must get Dally M points every game? He hasn't been a top 30 player this season.

Still don’t like this system. Feels like it can happen where the person who had the best season doesn’t get the award. Like should you get a better reward for beating up on a bottom team as you would for having a strong performance against top 4 side.

It's always been subjective. And points are often shared amongst good teams.Realistically, Cleary has been the best player in the comp for some time. The fact that points are awarded by anonymous judges means there will always be conjecture imo

i’d say it’s more so that the clubs they play for aren’t brimming with dally m points candidates. knights for example, who else besides ponga deserves any
