NRL premiers St George Illawarra have added depth to their already formidable forward pack by signing former Cronulla and Manly backrower Adam Cuthbertson to a one-year contract.
The 25-year-old made just 12 appearances for the Sharks in 2010, a season for which he had held high hopes of receiving more game time after leaving Manly at the end of 2008.
"This is a fresh start for me here at the Dragons," said Cuthbertson, who has played a total of 65 first-grade games since debuting for Manly in 2006.
"Last year was extremely frustrating but I'll be looking to take every opportunity I can and grabbing it with both hands.
"To come to a club rich in history and work under a coach like Wayne Bennett is exciting."
Dragons coach Wayne Bennett was enthusiatic about the talent backrower joining his ranks.
"We've been fortunate enough to get Adam to the Dragons," Bennett said.
