What an outstanding way to finish a disgusting year!!! The whole team were fantastic yesterday. Our goal line defense was sensational, our attack looked crisp and fluid, and our kicking game was on point!
Averilo had a great game coming back from injury, his kicking game was solid, scored 2 tries and had an assist. Meaney had probably his best game in a dogs jersey. Hetherington was much better playing on an edge, and showed he can be a starting player. Patolo ran hard, was aggressive, and didnt make any mistakes. Jackson was, as usual, tireless in the middle. Even katoa had a great game, controlling the tempo with some very good kicks from dummy half. I think Baz even deserves some credit for getting his bench rotations right for once.
As bad as our year has been it was important to finish on a high. Beating a team 38-0 was unthinkable, but we did it, and the boys will carry this high into the off season. Everyones spirits will be much higher, and once they are joined by the quality recruits we have coming, the off season should be a buzz of energy and good vibes.
Imagine we were instead in the tigers shoes. They will be bitter and disapointed, and there will be constant speculation about their coach getting the chop.
Im a big believer in the importance of sports phsychology, and the positive effects that a win like yesterdays will have, can not be underestimated!!
Our quality recruits are not just average first graders like we have signed over the past few years, they are superstars. Players like Burton, JAC and TPJ have the potential to completely transform our fortunes for next year. They will make the players around them better. And after finishing on a high note, the boys should have a bit more belief in themselves!
Onwards and upwards. Bring on 2022!!!

The other thing that can't be understated is that Sutton was the referee. He tried hard at the beginning giving them 3 set re-starts in a row including a couple late in the count.

But where the hell was this sort of thing all season? Why bring it out now? Was the pressure released & they just decided to go out there & have fun for the last game? These idiots could have saved their careers if they performed like this a couple of months ago. Whomever unlocks the key into sports players psychology will become the richest person in the World!

How many who played yesterday will be replaced by better players round one next year - adding Burton, TPJ, Vaughn, Addo Carr, Cotric, Dufty Thompson, JMK/ Cook, RFM, Naden - at least on paper things are looking up!

Funny how when things click they click seems every game up until yesterday everything was going against us bounce of the balls all the 50-50 referee calls, it’s great to finish on a win and looking forward to next season
Ansolutely. I as genuinely amazed that we were even getting the rub of the green from the refs!

Don't get me wrong, it was great to get a win but how bad are Tigers....sheesh, they were awful.

I had a bet yesterday knowing we often win last round fixtures even with this crap team...had Dogs to win, Meaney & Hoppa to score tries...thought both would score for sure...Hoppa gave 50 last passes for tries but didn't score himself..bugger!
Anyway, nice to finish with a win
Happy off season to all

Just want to give a special mention to Ava Seumanufagai for his efforts this year.... Not the superstar everyone wants but does his job and effort is always there.... Wouldn't be on massive money like Napa but turns up every week and tries his best.... Every team needs players like this so congrats Ava!

The thing that concerns me is this is becoming all too familiar. Shit season finishing with a win or string a couple together as per previous years and find positives for following season.

I won’t be making any comment until mid next year.
