The Raiders are set to pounce on Canterbury Bulldogs hooker Craig Garvey as he becomes the latest person to enter the revolving door between Belmore and Canberra.

Fox Sports reports say 24-year-old Garvey has agreed to a one-year deal with the Raiders and an announcement could be made as soon as this week.
Garvey's arrival could signal the end of Kurt Baptiste's time in Canberra as the Raiders look to shed weight to alleviate salary cap pressure.

The Raiders already have the returning Adam Clydsdale on the books, who looks set to fight it out with Garvey in a bid to play second fiddle to first-choice hooker Josh Hodgson.

Nek minute....SBW signs for $200K leaving them $800K to sign Cameron Smith who is happy to sign for $250K as its the Rorters.
Since now Jake Friend is surplus to requirements, they off load Jake and sign Thurston and get Taumalolo for a combined $400K.
Now, they still have money to spend from offloading Friend. So, they release Tupou and sign Radradra but they STILL have about $150K. They seriously can't spend all their cap. In the meantime, the NRL see no issues with these signings!!

The funny thing is that the Roosters had $650K spare at the time of signing Cronk. So Cronks market value is $650K but Mbye is $800K....and the NRL sees no issue!! FMD!!!!

I think I've worked out the roosters trick. A lot of players at the roosters are paying the club for the privilege of playing there. So every player that pays the club adds a bit of extra cap room.
