Computer/Console Talk/Gaming Super Thread

I'm still loving Wukong, but it has started hitting one of my pet peeves. Boss fights have started going for 10-15 minutes. Then I die at the end and have to start them again, and that just feels tedious. I prefer the fast, highly challenging fights that are much shorter.

They get longer and much harder :tearsofjoy:

PC all the way, consoles for exclusives.

If they ever release a button mash mode I will be all over it.

I'm part of the button masher club. Played enough games where you have to perfectly choreograph boss fights to progress and I just don't enjoy it much. Some level of planning the fight ahead isn't terrible. But like Hacky said above, gives me the shits if I've fought for ten minutes to get near the end of a fight and have one momentary lapse and need to redo it again or four more times.

Chapter 3 in Wukong is going to blow my PlayStation, it can't handle this at all lol.

Days Gone is that one for me. One horde battle I've retried about 40 times and just cannot get past it, even after trying to cheat by using YouTube tutorials.
Absolutely loved the game up to that point but I shelved it a few months ago.

Every game should have the feature that GTAV had where if you tried a level half a dozen times or so and couldn't get past it you had the option of skipping that mission. You might miss a tiny bit of storyline or whatever but it's a small price to pay for being able to fully enjoy the game.

I remember that horde battle. Spent an hours running around in circles kiting them until eventually they got stuck on something. The whole horde couldn't move closer. So I killed them slowly.

If its a horde battle thats part of the story, is that the one where you make the napalm/do you have napalm and the heavy machine gun?

Best thing you can do is run away until they stop following you, set up traps again then rince repeat.

Sucks if you give up because the story gets excellent.

This one seems like it should be easy but for some reason I just can't get it done. It's the one in the cave right after the scientists get killed in there. Problem is once the scene restarts the horde is onto you within seconds, don't get time to ease into it. I might just have to go back to the start of the mission and play it through. Frustrating as hell.

Can't remember if I've got the heavy machine gun but I do have the napalm. Because you're in a cave it's bloody hard to run away from them.

I won't give it up though. Enjoyed it too much. Just needed time for the rage to subside haha

Yep, I remember now. Sooner or later you'll get it.

Fixed the bs in Wukong by loggin out back into the main screen and then back in. Game is now playable again

I just got up to chapter 3. The wind boss was a tough one.
That's where I got stuck for ages until I learned about the wind tamer lol. Chapter 3 is BIG compared to the first 2, still in it atm.

Same. Combination of the Wind Tamer and I spec'd heavily into the multi-monkey thing and the freeze thing. That combo just descimated him.

Have you fought any of the secret loong bosses yet?

Yeah, fought two of them. The electro dragon, and the black loong smashy prick. The latter was ridiculously difficult until I realised you could just stand on a rock and avoid his drum beat attack thing.

Started new tales from the borderlands on ps5 as it came with the console plus I got the tales from the borderlands as a free dlc. I'm liking it so far now I'm curious to know if the original trilogy are worth buying and playing?

I had the exact same issue, that stupid attack took me out so many times. I'm on the final one now and it isn't fun, might beat him tonight if I'm lucky :tearsofjoy:

Have to say, the Pagoda Realm is making me hate this game. I've died more times crossing a small walkway than I have to any boss in this game.
