The problem I see with Taffe, Sqlmond and potentially Watson being signed is where it leaves KO. I don’t want his development cramped.

Firstly I think KO is going to be a dud. I haven’t seen what other see.
but leave that aside as I’m aware it’s still too early to really tell, I just fear the worst.

I don’t know how I feel about all the signatures because;
1/ all are depth and won’t move the needle much
2/ They is feel similar in style to each other
3/ All can’t crack they team or have injury baggage in watssons case.

On the other hand though. How is they used?
If Taafe is cheap and backup Fullback, what’s the issue? He’s better than the phaggot we have atm.
And if he plays really well, he pushes Critta to centre which is also a win. Also can cover half

If salmon is the backup half to Toby and Burton then so what? Him v Khaleb it’s him every day. Both duds but. But what exactly do you want in a reserve half?
And if Watson is taking in the role of hooker then he solves a big issue for us as we have no one besides Mahoney at present.

If KO is good enough and/or injuries he'll get a chance/play. If not he has a long term deal to develop in NSW cup.

Nasheed here,

So lets look at what we need for the remaining 2/3 spots.

Fullback/s (covered):
Taafe
Crichton
Wilson

Wingers (covered):
Wilson
JAC
Kebab
Skelton

Centres (Covered):
Xerri
Semrani
Crichton
Kebab
Skelton(?)
EQW

Halves (covered):
Toby
Taafe
WGD
Burton
Olopu
BBO

Hookers (Weak depth):
Mahoney
BBO

Props (adequate, could be bolstered):
Hughes
Pele
Patolo
Sio
King
Knight
TPJ

Back rowers (weakish depth):
Kikau
Prestons
Topine
RFM
King
Olopu

So the way I see it, in our remaining two verified spots.

In order, we need:

-Hooker back up
-Marquee Prop
-2nd rower backup

Does anyone else read this the same?

Hoffman's status is a bit cloudy, I would try and upgrade on him too.

Also if we can unload Perham, I think it would be good, if we replace him with someone like Brad Parker who is a cheap, solid defender.

I invite opinions on this.
Nasheed.
I think we need to keep Braidon Burns. There is no mention of him on that list. He can play a few different positions and has been playing well. Centre, wing, fullback Good player.

Gould has gone on record saying the intent is for him to be a lock.
And I agree.
Look forward to seeing his development

Papali'i I think will be top 30 next year and is a fullback.
Pehram will be at the club next year, Alamoti?
Ryan Gray is a decent 9 and may be preferred to BBO in that position.
Topine is probably only a 14 at NRL level.
Back up at 6 and 7 is terrible.
No locks in that squad with any flare, unless they sign someone soon. Front row stocks are poor.
The forwards and as a consequence halves are in for tough 24 campaign.

Hopefully in reserve grade. We should be stealing Hohepa Puru off Canberra reserves to be our lock

Problem is Olopu is on record as saying one key reason he didn’t want to join the broncos is they wanted to turn him into a lock.
Not panic but somethifn to keep in mind.

Question..... (I may have asked this previously but can't remember a response)

If a player is in your Top 30 in 2023, and he is contracted for 2024, is he automatically in the Top 30 in '24 or can you drop them?

Avatar shows what I am about. The thugg life.
And you WIlLL respect that.
You really need to get your hand off it mate. The wannabe gangsta image commands no respect. Just photoshop one of them clown wigs on your avatar and all will be at peace in the universe.

He’s still super young, and if he’s smart, he’ll bide his time and learn from Sexton, Watson and Taffee.

I think the main issue for KO was that the Broncos reneged on a top 30 spot. I don’t think he would be against 13 if it meant establishing himself in the NRL

Hohepa Puru had a good game for Canberra reserves again. Iro was strong for Newtown also, but we stocked for centres
