For those who wonder about this, finally found out the reason.

When there is a large number of the same colour bibs - this is generally due to game/tactics.
EXAMPLE: A game vs reserve grade side.

When there is a RED bib - it indicates rehab group / non contact.
EXAMPLE: Injured player returning from rehab
EXAMPLE: Player with an injury cloud.

When there is a PINK or YELLOW bib - it indicates a player either in opposing or attacking play.
EXAMPLE: Yellow bib might be an opposing player the coach wants to isolate.
EXMAPLE: Pink bib might be a primary player/s in a set play / attacking play.

NOTE: Pink is also used if the player/s is involved in a specific training drill.

The bib colours make it easier for players during training sessions to figure out one player from another.

When say 2 sides are playing each other (reserves vs first grade in a drill), reserves might wear all BLUE, with a danger player in yellow. Meanwhile first grade might have 1 or 2 players in pink who are involved in playmaking/trialling a set play.

Hope that explains things more :grinning:

Information has come from those involved with the club/players.

I thought the pink was to indicate an injured player.

Unless it's changed this year, ex player and staff confirmed. Pink is opposing/attacking play and red is no contact/injury.
You are right because I have never seen a red bib, mind you I haven't attended a training session for years
