Great game tonight, very pleased with the effort but hoping that Ciraldo cleans up the forward rotations a bit better throughout the year.

Thought he took way too long last week against Manly to bring on fresh forwards and the same today. Kept Wardell on and Sutton off for 10 mins more than he should have. Wardell shouldn't be playing big minutes through the middle or anywhere lol.

Wadell was terrible, he made two bad plays in one set. and why is Okunbor in the 17?

Kiks looks exhausted at time. Not sure what his mins were like at Penrith but when he had to chase a storm attack a few times it looked like he was in quicksand.

Ciraldo said in the presser Kikau has had a short pre season due to the world cup and the passing of his father where he was away for a few weeks. Give him a few more rounds and he'll be at his best. Anyway, an 80% fit Kikau is better than some at 100% fit

I suspect Ciraldo was happy to cop the late Kikau fade just to get minutes into his legs

Having 2 80min backrowers + 80min hooker will give us a bit of an advantage in rotating the middles

Preston being so solid so early is going to be a real blessing…shored up that right edge great.

Hoping Kikau and Burton work better defensively with minutes in their legs

Love watching Pele bend the line. Wish he could be given more game time each week
That appears to be the plan. At least until we get some experienced props back. I do hope he can hold his position though as you say he does bend the line and better than anyone else on our roster including TPJ.

Would you consider starting Pele with King? Give him first 15mins of each half? Seems like we give him one stint but how can he increase his stamina without getting the minutes? I would prefer Skelton over Okunbor if he’s going to be considered again next week.

Waddle had a big impact off the bench.. BUT he stifles attack too much. Presto will be getting his pay packet at the end of the year.

CC has addressed the root cause of our issues with rotations and that’s players fitness levels. Less need for more rotations now.

Thought rotations were pretty much on point against the storm, better forwards got about 50 min, Waddell was good and so got about 40, even Pele and Brown got 20 and 30. Pretty much perfect. Can't do any better until TPJ come back and isn't as big a drop off in quality when king and Sutton go off. I loved the idea of Okonbour on the bench. Tanner would have only played 20 max, Oko can do that and probably bends the line more. Also gives cover for any of our back 5 going down with injury/ HIA. Being in first grade will also give him confidence and a chance to get resigned/ pick up another contract. He is looking a lot better a year after his injury.

Yeah I'm also a fan of OK on bench.
If we are to continue on this trajectory with halves floating around, early ball to centres and wingers etc we need a proper outside back on the bench to cover any injuries or HIA's without skipping a beat.

IMO having 4 forwards on the bench is risky and last week showed that it doesn't even allow you to hook one of your backs who is underperforming
