Patten made the exact same mistake at the end of this game, as he did last night when Morris ran down Jennings.

Cutler had Hoffman covered, and Patten failed to take the back-up player in Webster. Poor vision.

In the replay, Patten is even pushing into Cutler to get to Hoffman. FMD dude, get those things you call eyes checked.

I was thinking the same thing actually! I think Phelps or Cutler had a chance to dive on the ball before Hoffman got it but just dogged it a bit too. It all started from a **** kick from Grimaldi tbh.

It was Cutler, but he was taking Hoffman to the ground anyway. It wouldn't have mattered if his fullback was positioned right.

i remember being at this game in 2006

i thought we had the game won but bloody cronks chip kick to hoffman and hoffman offloading to webster to win the game for melbourne

i was left devastated surrounded by melbourne fans cheering so hard that their team won on the death

Fantastic way to win a game. Cronk with a perfect kick to Hoffman who called for it, on the WING.

Legendary.

Watching that game..

Our forwards had speed and were the ones who were running the show, not our hooker and halves.

We were offloading to success! Offloading has become a thing of the past for our team.

Support plays were everywhere, something that was non-existant in the Panthers game and this year in general.

I really miss those days where we were so brutal and fearsome. Either way, it's got me pumped for the game on Sunday.

We got nothing from dummy half that game as Grimaldi was so slow. O'meley, Asotasi, Ryan and Maitua were awesome in those days.
