Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs to receive $2 million in funding from the NSW State Government for their Centre of Excellence at Belmore
The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have today received confirmation from the NSW State Government that the club will receive $2 million in funding towards Stage Two of the development of their Centre of Excellence at Belmore.

The funding will play a key role in creating world-class facilities at the Belmore Sportsground. These facilities will assist in the continued development of grassroots and community programs in the local area, in addition to complementing the State Government's overall quest to create an improved network of stadia.

Bulldogs Chief Executive Andrew Hill was delighted with the announcement:

"The club is delighted with the approval of funding for Stage Two of the development of facilities at Belmore. The Bulldogs are looking to create a world-class training facility for our players, and this will assist us greatly in doing that. It will also be a tremendous boost for the local community. We understand the importance of providing opportunities at both a community and grassroots level and programs that are currently in operation will benefit significantly from an improved Centre of Excellence at Belmore."

Watch the NRL include this $2million in our salary cap!
It will be all over the news and the media will say that We will have to get rid of players and the Roosters to buy Klemmer and Jackson.....and the cheating ***** will still be $3million under the cap!

Noooo, nothing wrong there NRL....cheating scum!!!!

To put it into perspective the damn Roosters got around 5.7Million today for their 'centre of excellence'..

They struggle to get 10K crowds with a star studded lineup & have no juniors & dont represent a rugby league area..

But our club has done well until now in receiving grants

Shouldn't this money go towards Canterbury City Council as they own the Sports Ground? Whatever the case, I'm just glad that this secures our playing future at Belmore.

Good work Bulldogs for lobbying for this, and thank you Scott Morrison for helping my team and my community ;)

Maybe Roosters used their Govt. grant for third party top-ups
