Stay with me on this...

We can't afford to pay out des, that's not going to happen...
Can the board (if they had the nuts) drop des to coach reserves?
I know that we prob don't have the best reserves coach, excuse my ignorance as I don't know who it is, but that doesn't matter
It would hit his ego so hard, but would it make him change??
Decent coaches drop their highest paid players to make an example of them and sometimes it works...
If only we had a board that could make the big calls...

Interesting

But I'd say he is contracted as head coach

Interesting concept.
I've never seen a head coach "dropped" before.
Even if it was possible, there's no chance our board has the balls to pull the trigger.

What's the point we would still have to pay Des the same wages if he was "dropped" and then still have to pay a new coach....

Very interesting mate
Other thing that can be done is take the recruitment and retention off this guy

Also put a coaching director on top of him which is all within guidelines - it will make the Egoistic pri** walk
Problem solved lol

I dont care how he goes just as long as he does...he is our cancerous lump and he has been diagnosed as needing removal urgently before he spreads any further.

Agreed. They re-sign him and give him a raise on the back of a piss weak coaching record so no chance they would do it lol

A coach isn't like a player. He's contractually signed on at head coach, and it would never happen anyway as it'll still count in the support staff cap.

There was an easier option, not to re-sign him. Sadly we have to face he's going to be around for the next 2 seasons.

But we might be able to get rid of the chairman early next year if we make an effort.

Tigers did it with Sheens, had to pay him for 3 years. I think the only thing keeping Des around is Foran coming next year.

DES is worse than cancer.....
Atleast cancer responds to chemo.......
