To be honest, these days I'm not too worried about the unavailability of quality halves in the market, especially with the recent trend of players asking for early releases. Last week there were no quality halves available.....suddenly this week we have 2 of the very best in (Widdop)and Johnson available. Its almost like you could plan your roster around it.

Example: We need a fullback but instead of paying overs for Hayne because there are no quality fullbacks off-contract till 2021, we can wait it out and hope someone requests a release for personal reasons,etc

That’s exactly what we SHOULD do but our club does panic buys. Don’t have a fb so let’s overpay BMoz to play position his body can’t handle. Need a halfback? Let’s pay a fortune to Foran when we had all the leverage considering his baggage and injury history.
