On the topic of Appreciation threads, look no further then Burns and Avo - outside of the two spectacular long range tries scored by Avo via a brace of try assists from Burns… these two gentlemen have been hampered by leg injuries and were unbelievable today.

special mention to Burns who worked himself to the bone, was everywhere in attack and defence, made a couple of incredible effort plays and was massive for us despite clearly being hampered early on.

He’s probably one of the most underrated player in the team - top effort

Great bounce back from Avo after struggling in recent times albeit during a period where his leg looked cooked.

We know one swallow doesn’t make a summer, but these two were outstanding today (as was Avo on one leg a couple of weeks back). Backline will start to look better on paper with more performances like that today.

Great thread. Looking forward to hearing the comments!

They combine well, which is good for us since we are trying to cover for great players like Kiraz and JAC being out. We need them to be.

If things continue the way they have the last few weeks i reckon we will have Averillo and Kiraz on one side, and Burns and JAC on the other. Alamoti first replacement.

Get the ball to AVO the turbo expert who has speed to burn.
Hard to get rid of Burns when the injured get back but gotta keep the depth.

Nothing to get carried away with after 1 game.
They did well today and full credit to them.
