There are 4 players who have scored two tries in Grand Finals. However, Steve Gearin has the most total points in Grand Finals with 22 points.

Note: Tries changed from 3 points to 4 points in 1983

Steve Gearin (2t,8g - 22 points)
Matt Utai (2t - 8 points)
Joe Gartner (2t - 6 points)
Peter Mortimer (2t - 7 points)

I have learnt a lot over the past year or so. Most of the questions I am answering are coming from material that will be available on the website in late February/ early March.

It will include every try scorer, goal scorer, point scorer from every game since 1935. Not only that but it will also include the crowd figure (not accurately recorded until 1960) for every game along with which referee controlled the game (when you click on the referee's name it will display our win/loss record with them).

You will be able to look through our list of coaches and view their win/loss records - not to mention the fact all 682 first grade players to play for the club will have their own player profile which will include a small bio and career statistics such as tries, goals, points, etc.

70's Theme Song:

CHORUS:
Canterbury is the greatest,
We're the greatest of them all,
Canterbury is the greatest
We are always on the ball

We play it hard,
We play it tough
We never know when
We've had enough
We're always there
When the goings rough
That is Canterbury

CHORUS:
Canterbury is the greatest,
We're the greatest of them all,
Canterbury is the greatest
We are always on the ball

We’re Blue and White,
Yeh that’s our style
When we lose we wear a smile
If you wanna know we’re here to stay,
Come along and see us play

CHORUS x 3:
Canterbury is the greatest,
We're the greatest of them all,
Canterbury is the greatest
We are always on the ball

----------

80's Theme Song:

We are the mighty Bulldogs
The Canterbury breed
We play it hard
We play it tough
We're the greatest in the league

CHORUS:
We've got a mighty pack of forwards
And a line of leading backs
When that whistle blows
You all will know
As we leave them in our tracks

So come on mighty Bulldogs
Lets show them how its done
With our power, speed
The Bulldog breed
Will keep them on the run

CHORUS:
We've got a mighty pack of forwards
And a line of leading backs
When that whistle blows
You all will know
As we leave them in our tracks

So come on mighty Bulldogs
Lets show them how its done
With our power, speed
The Bulldog breed
Will keep them on the run

----------

We're Bulldogs

That’s why we’re Bulldogs
We play like Bulldogs

It comes from deep inside
A kind of family pride
It's true as day is long
It's brave, it's tough, it's strong
It’s history that makes
That character it takes
It’s power, guts and guile
A dogged football style

CHORUS:
That’s why we’re Bulldogs
We play like Bulldogs
No fear we’re Bulldogs
We’ll stay like Bulldogs

It’s victories we’ve won
And hard yards we have run
Attack that can inspire
Defence that’s full of fire
A character that shows
Despite the highs and lows
It’s courage that you need
To join this special breed, yeah

CHORUS:
That’s why we’re Bulldogs
We play like Bulldogs
No fear we’re Bulldogs
We’ll stay like Bulldogs

I am also typing out 'The Bulldog Story' book - word for word to be displayed in the history section. It is an awesome read and every fan will learn so much from it.

I hope they actually do read it. The history of all sports is so enriching. I don't understand fans that don't embrace it.

Was actually 1977.
From the start of the 1978 season, the Berries were no longer. There was talk of making the transition from being the only club without an amblem in 1977 - however it wasn't made official until 1978.

Seeing as Utai Slam hasn't made a new one, I thought I'd throw in a fairly easy one just for fun. Which 3 Hughes brothers (glenn, corey, steve) DID NOT play in a winning Bulldogs grand final?
