The Bulldogs are attempting to steal the best junior nursery in rugby league from under the Tigers’ noses.

Keebra Park High School on the Gold Coast is second to none in developing young talent and has been associated with the Tigers for over a decade.

The likes of Benji Marshall, Ben Murdoch-Masila , Rangi Chase, Robert Lui, Ben T’eo and current forward JJ Felise have graduated from Keebra Park into the Tigers’ ranks.

The school has also produced quality players like Bulldogs’ Kiwi international Greg Eastwood, Eels forward Kenny Edwards, Broncos utility Jordan Kahu, Panther colt Te Maire Martin, Roosters prop Sam Moa, Cowboys back Tautau Moga and Eels ace Corey Norman among a host of others.

The Tigers are desperate to hang on to their association with Keebra Park but the Bulldogs – as part of their new mantra of finding quality players at junior level – are set to trump them.

What I don't get is why you need an association with the school.

Can't we just poach players from there anyway? Corey Norman, Eastwood, kahu and Moa were never graded at tigers.

And I saw tigers got about 5-6 players from the school coming into u20s for next season. So does it mean they are getting the best or the rest?

Anyways Des hasn't unearthed 1 talented player since joining the club. Hopefully if we do get keebra park on board we can finally start to bring in the best talent in the country.

Im sure the kids form a realionship with the school coaches and im sure a few donations will go along way so we get the inside running[emoji12]

Sounds like a positive move but...

It doesn't matter what we use as a junior league production plant or where they come from.

The unsolvable problem we have while Ray Dib calls the shots for the Board is that Hasler kills off the attacking flair and confidence of all the young guns that come to Belmore.

So... who would play for the Bulldogs when we're not allowed to play?
