KIMMORLEY BACK TO FACE EELS
Tuesday, September 22, 2009
The Bulldogs have today named a full strength line up for this Friday’s NRL Preliminary Final against the Parramatta Eels at ANZ Stadium, kick off at 7.45pm.

Coach Kevin Moore has confirmed key play maker Brett Kimmorley will start at halfback after returning from a fractured cheekbone and a month on the sideline.

Bulldogs and Dally M Captain of the Year, Andrew Ryan, will achieve a remarkable milestone this weekend when he Captains the Club for the 120th time, eclipsing the previous record held by club great Terry Lamb (119). Friday night’s clash will also become the 60th consecutive appearance for the 2008 Bulldogs Player of the Year.

“We are all very excited about playing in front of a huge ANZ Stadium crowd, especially against our traditional rivals the Parramatta Eels, Ryan said.

“Both clubs share a wonderful history of great finals battles and we know this one will be no different.”

Bankstown City Bulls Coach Terry Lamb has also named his team (see attached) for this weekend’s NSW Cup Grand Final Qualifier against Wentworthville at Leichardt Oval, 3pm Sunday. The Bulls are the Bulldogs official feeder club, boosting plenty of regular NRL players with finals experience.

The full team is outlined below:

1. Luke Patten
2. Hazem El Masri
3. Josh Morris
4. Jamal Idris
5. Bryson Goodwin
6. Ben Roberts
7. Brett Kimmorley
8. Ben Hannant
9. Michael Ennis
10. Michael Hodgson
11. Greg Eastwood
12. Andrew Ryan
13. David Stagg

I love it.

Very smart putting Greg Eastwood first. Moore knows this game will be won through the first half.

Armit and Warburton to come on in the second half and slam them through their defence, giving them no hope of coming back ;)

i don't know if its just me, but Michael Ennis has been awfully quiet this week hasn't said a word to the media. Today in the DT it had a poster of Josh Morris then small pics inserted of Hazem,Idris,Bk. I would of thought Ennis had to be in it somewhere.

Yeah, I'm coming around to Eastwood starting.

Parramatta have been starting well in the last few weeks. If we beat them in the forwards battle early, we go a long way to winning.

Then you bring Waburton on and you lose absolutely nothing in defence and he actually goes forward quite well and Armit in the last few rounds of the regular season and the game against Newcastle was phenominal.
