Does anyone know our winning percentage at home ? Pre and post Ben Barba it seems poor - particularly when we are favourites . We seem to play better away .

We have lost more than we have won this year.

5 wins and 6 losses.

I was wondering what the record was since we have been playing there . Apart when we were winning games on the back of Benny Barba I think our record there is poor . Far cry from when we used to belt teams at Belmore .

Belmore is a pipe dream.
If the new "cultural centre" is built the most we can expect is trials and one or two low rating games each year.
If the "cultural center" isn't built, we'll only ever get trials.

Every home game this year has been low rating as the crowds for each of those home games we have had would not of even filled Belmore to capacity.

i highly doubt we would of lost that many home games at Belmore like we have at ANZ.

Manly is the perfect example and not just this year.

Yea, but ANZ pays us to play there, whereas belmore would be our responsibility and therefore would cost us money.

and the Dogs lack money?

The majority of the up keeping of Belmore Stadium is carried out by Canterbury Council, ffs Sydney Olympic plays at Belmore.

ANZ is not a home ground nor is it a fotress nor an advantage.

the dogs would have higher membership and more revenue than ANZ. The dogs are sitting on a goldmine considering the Precinct Belmore could be if the home games were brought back to where they belong. Leagues club revenue, local businesses, etc, etc

Manly is not doing to bad considering the shithole Brookvale Oval is.

The dogs will lack money if they return there.
Belmore is maintained by the council in its current configuration. We will have to upgrade it to NRL standard, then we will most likely have the majority responsibility.
Also on game day, staff, security, big screen, lights and such will have to be paid for by the club.

On current projections, we will have more members than belmore's capacity, in two years. What then? Have a lottery for members to see who gets tickets ?

Obviously when you do an upgrade, you upgrade the facilities along with the ground capacity to around the 30,000 mark. You are kidding yourself if you think we will crack that number of memberships within the next 5 years. Parra has a larger member base with a similar ground capacity as Belmore. panthers are in the same boat except the membership. They are more than financially stable, yet the dogs are richer. The Leagues club and sponsorships keeps the dogs going and not ANZ or memberships.
There is not much to be done at Belmore now to bring home games back, actually Belmore is currently San Siro compared to Brookvale.

Dogs are more than capable of paying the bills.

The only lottery I would be participating in, is when are we going to win a premiership.

Yes we're capable of paying for it but it has to be profitable.
No point building a stadium with no club to play in it.

We could go backward and forwards all day over this, but stage simple fact is this: in 10 years time manly won't be playing at brookvale, no clubs will be playing out of suburban grounds.
The government has already said it will no longer fund suburban grounds and the NRL has confirmed its large stadium policy.
Pretty soon there'll only be paramatta, Allianz, ANZ and the new western stadium to be built in the blacktown complex.
