So is he guilty of an eye gouge or head high tackle?

Pretty stupid move by the idiot though. Seriously how dumb is he to do that and think nothing would happen.

He will get 4-5 as he didn’t show any remorse
Remorse should not and as I understand it does NOT come into the sentencing of a player. The sentence should simply be on the basis of the act committed on the field and not on the attitude after the game has finished. Even the Chairman should know that.......denial of natural justice (forget who the player is). The Chairman mentioned that his prior judiciary record "....did not assist him". Anyone have a copy of his prior record. You get someone like Flegler at the Broncs who has been charged 4 times for Dangerous contact this season alone.....he copped 2 game suspension and the rest were fines.....admittedly not alleged eye gouging......

You can't challenge a captains challenge as evidence by the West Tigers / Cowboy match but can you appeal and appeal sentencing?

2 weeks tops for having his hand where it shouldn't have been but 5 weeks! What a F'N joke! Compare this to similar previous offences.

Interesting to hear what Gus has to say.

Guys on NRL 360 Monday night pretty much all said he'd get off as there was nothing in it.

Tino didn't have a mark on him and nor did Tamou a few years back when Thompson copped 4 weeks for absolutely nothing!

I'm beginning to feel like Tigers supporters in thinking the NRL hierarchy and judiciary are corrupt in giving that 5 fucking weeks!

Klein should've been suspended for the rest of the year for what he did not only to the Tigers but those teams trying to get into a top 4 spot. He's made a mockery of the competition and will be sacked for how long? A lousy F'N week!

Well it seems it did. Read this from the NRL’s Prosecutor.

Knowles suggested a ban of at least five matches, citing Waddell's apparent lack of contrition and the serious nature of making contact with a rival player's eye.

This is probably the worse week in Rugby League history for those who are supposedly in charge of running the game.

Decision on the penalty has to be reviewed. Yes he’s guilty of putting his hand where it shouldn’t have been but these C’s seem like they make it up as they go along.

"No player wants to give evidence against another player. It’s an unwritten code. It's simply not necessary when you've got a number of videos and images where you can determine the seriousness of the incident."

REALLY?? Tino whinged like a girl who was only given a half a brazilian wax for her full fee. He shat on the unwritten code and smeared it all over his face. And photos and videos are extremely limited because you do not get the data of how much force was placed - he literally had his hand on his face and it was light because when Tino was bitching, he was offended and in no physical pain - he just look annoyed maybe because he was spooked by it.

It's got to be the most corrupt NRL judiciary decision they have ever made. The "victim" didn't even turn up. You have the right to face your accuser. The club should appeal as we are now the eye gouge club with Waddell, Wakeham & Thompson. Like Tino, Tamou walked back his allegation but was still suspended. There is plenty of evidence it didn't happen.
