it's good to see Edwards and Gutho at the top of the list. Edwards was the number one fullback in 2022 for mine, his work rate, impact, and defence was top notch.

Have they ranked number 7’s yet?

We desperately need to unearth junior talent in key positions.

It again highlights the significance of junior development and recruitment- no team (except the Roosters)can afford to buy more than 2 top notch spine players.

It looks even worse when you consider most clubs have a back up fullback and halfback better than our number 1 choice

Hopefully the confidence Ciro has in Perham is on the money!
He's only a kid playing in Harold Matthews but Mitchell Woods is the best half prospect at the club. Here some highlights from his most recent game against the Bears.

Yep thats why we still have alot of work to do. Our fullback and our halfback wouldnt get a start in those positions at any other NRL club.

At least with Perham there is only a small sample size so there is a chance he can surprise.

No such luck with the halfback
I have a feeling comes round 3 we will have
1 Burns
7 Oloapu

Wasn't Barba pretty awful his first couple of games at FB? Seem to remember him having a shocker or two early on
actually no the exact opposite he played at the time Toyota cup and dominated. was one of the highest try scorer’s and helped win them A comp then debut off the bench against roosters scored a hat trick off the bench and the following year 2012 he came our fullback took us to a grand final and got DALLY M

I'm only talking about first grade. He was coming off the bench and played 6 and 7 a bit in 2009/2010 and was moved to FB in 2011. I remember he definitely wasn't good under the high ball in particular in his first FB starts

Agree with your list except I'd drop Gutho below Drinkwater and I think Savage is massively overrated. Miller will likely climb once we see more.

Walsh is better than 14th.

a top 10 fb is a must to be a serious chance in the NRL…. Miss the days when we had Barba, The general before that, Rocket Rod, Potter etc.

It’s been shambolic the last few years.

Listing him the worst is to be expected really considering he’s very inexperienced, but just watching his interview from today and like I guessed, it sounds like Ciro wanted him to play fullback because he’s vocal and defensively minded. You need a fb that will tell the front line what he’s seeing. No talk and you’re stuffed.

Hopefully he can make the list maker look silly after a few games.

Listened to Ciro in an interview last week and he seemed very certain about Hayze as a fullback and Averillo as a centre. I think it was with Vossy and the Missile on SEN. To be honest i would rank him last as of now as well, he hasn't done anything yet and the list of fullbacks is pretty bloody good to be honest.
