With the exception of Schoupp, you couldn’t hand pick a more ideal group of players to be identified breaching COVID protocols to be honest.. it’s worked favourably in my opinion.

Super disappointed in Schoupp, If your a young fella who finally breaks through the grade, surely your playing a straight bat and abiding by all the rules unless he was somewhat confused with the do’s and don’ts
Agreed, when I read the list I was yep okay not too bad, but very disappointed in Schoupp, as you say finally got his chance, he's just as likely not to be picked in first grade again this season. Probably lucky about the lack of quality in our centres.

Agree with others that have wished the debutants all the best, also I’m crossing my fingers Flanno will stand up, we’re stuck with him for over 2 years so the ideal situation is he somehow gets his shit together.

Agree, was hoping Helata would also get a run, built similarly to Matt Utai and leads NSW cup in line breaks from what I recall
If the guys built like UTAI that’s great. Give him a run

All the best to the debutants, lets see how they go and support them in their games this year. I hope TK dont turn on them if they have average games!

In a game where manly could win by 60
Wouldn’t picking Lewis at half for his defensive efforts alone be better than flanacrap
Wouldn’t selecting atoni and Ogden for a one off so we don’t get annihilated as a club better than throwing nobodies against the likes of turbo and tapau etc

Fcuk I hope des muppet rests Tommy turbo as he did last time after origin
He really isn’t needed

I still don't get what these 5 players did wrong. They went to a pub for a few drinks. Wow who gives a fuck. Don't we live in a free country anymore?

The way people on here carry on about Atoni you’d think we had SBW in the reserves

At the end of the day he’s just a young bloke who’s made first grade, if the senior players and first graders are saying come hang out with us at the pub you’re very unlikely to say no.

You just got a new construction job in the city, the foreman says let’s go to the pub.You know his boss probably wouldn’t appreciate it but the rest of the crew is going and it’s time to socialise and deepen the ties.

Napa and that should of known better, or maybe they shouldn’t. Dumb as shit.

If we was confused he should've asked someone at the club. If he got the OK from them and then was found to be in breach later by the NRL then at least he wouldve covered his own ass. This was more 'im going to the pub with the boys' rather than confusion, Napa who's been around the block should've stood up and swayed the younger boys into doing the right thing but instead he went along with it. I dont know what they were even doing at a pub on the beers considering a few hours earlier Parramatta made an absolute mockery of them, goes to show who's just there for a pay cheque

They went to a pub in an area of Sydney they were specifically told not to go to. Say that they all got Covid from vising the Eastern suburbs as its a 'hot spot', then spread that Covid to the rest of the team, to officials, to opposition etc etc and then the game has to stop. The TV deals, sponsorship deals etc etc are all then voided and the NRL loses massive revenue. For a game that has little to no money stashed for a rainy day, it could ruin the game forever. They were so desperate to get football back underway last year with their Project Apollo because they absolutely haemorrhage money when it isnt being played. Its not the 'had a few drinks' its the 'knowingly disobeyed NRL instruction'. If your boss tells you not to do something, im sure you listen to the instruction and dont do it right? why should these dickheads get to pick and choose what to comply with when their employer issues them direct instructions?

Not to mention that the impact on having 5 players (albeit mediocre ones) unavailable for their next game and having to bring in blokes from Flegg to cover them seriously hinders the club too

Seems there's sheep everywhere in the world. You don't think it's a conicendice that every state in the country locked down at the same time.

I'm not going to debate whether covid exists or not with you, i couldnt care less about covid and vaccines and all that shit. I'm just explaining the ramifications of them deliberately disobeying their employers instructions and how that is what they did wrong, not 'having a few beers'
