If Hickey doesn't impress then i would switch him with Cleal. Problem is we have around 6 injuries during the off season, like i mentioned earlier our players need to gain fitness during the off season and it doesn't look like this 6 will gain any (Williams, Maitua, Kouparitsas, Millard, Hughes and Patten)

I thought Folau was leaving the NRL for 2 years?

Bench: Explosive Prop Impact

Only our Fullback and Secondrow are better (or at least equivalent)

I thought they couldn't fit Newton under the cap. Is he under contract next year?

Yes, Melbourne have a strong side, but in 3 years time lets see who will still be around. Some will get offered big money to change clubs or leave due to other reasons. The salary cap will make sure that it's next to impossible to keep a strong side to too many years, not like back in the 80's.

Well, for a Short period of time they lost that flare & it was around the time when they lost to the Roosters. Apart from that, I guess it was consistency & Momentum from game to game.

they will struggle to keep that squad for another year, they will have the same salary cap problems that we had after 04

I was reading in the paper that Newton wasn't signed for next year, couldn't fit him under the cap. And Crocker offered to leave just so Melbourne would keep him, I dunno .. Maybe just more bull**** from the telegraph..

Nope.

They will go close to undefeated next year and go back to back.

MAYBE, just MAYBE, the year after that, they'll start to lose players.

Next year, they have a better team than they had this year.

Is it true that Melbourne receive certain percentage which gets exempt from the salary cap? This being because they are in Melbourne. I think this is what the roosters were complaining about a few years back that they also should get an exemption because the cost of living in the Bondi area is higher to that of Newcastle, Brisbane etc.
