I think we're getting it wrong .He says "that he will be *there* next week" meaning at the dogs next week most likely .It just doesn't make sense if he is saying that about staying with the tigpies.Read between the lines and don't jump to conclusions .
Are you serious? This knob head was barely able to converse in English let alone have the intelligence to put hidden messages between the lines

I'd bloody knock him out and then drag him to belmore and tie him up to a chair and make him honour is contract by staying tied to a chair

The title of this thread is misleading. How can this kid be a star if only a handful of people have heard of him?

Tigers just re-signed him for 2 years
How can he re sign with the Tigpies if by all reports he has already signed with the Bulldogs?

Because the NRLadministration is a effin joke... No wonder other codes are ahead of what is a great product in rugby league.

It's like contracts don't matter these days. These players are not showing much respect for the fans of these great clubs at all.

On a side note how can he re-sign with the Tigers if he was supposed to be with us for next season? It's way past the June 30 deadline. He must not have officially signed a contract or surely we'd be due compensation for him reneging?

Its not that contracts aren't contracts anymore, but contracts these days have so many get-out clauses put in from both club and player perspective nothing is watertight any more. Players don't just sign with a club anymore. These days they sign with a club if this and this happens but if that happens release clause are there to let them get out.

The point these days isn't about employment it is so everybodies ar$e is covered just in case. It has become very easy for players to sign a clause-laden contract with one club and use it for leverage to get the contract they really want with who they want.

It doesn't seem that the players moving clubs necessarily has release clauses in their contracts especially the ones involving Brisbane. The fact players have the ability to renege before June 30 sets up a bad situation for clubs on both sides.

It's all well and good to want to play with your mates but in the end you mates don't pay your bills. It's a no-brainer to play with the Dogs and not the Tigers for Job Security alone. Balmain aren't even paying their way and the Management are always after handouts to keep them solvent. I hope this is why his Management have signed him with the Dogs and are in his ear about honouring his contract.

That is a standard clause in ALL NRL contracts now.
