I just mean I don't know how you think he can't bring anything to the Club we can't do ourselves through hard work.

We could flog a player 18 hours a day in acid rain for a month and they still wouldn't influence anything on game day like SBW can through pure skill.
 
We don't need more Forwards, even if we got rid of williams who is on 600k Sonny would be asking for another 400k on top of that.
 
The guy is a gun player, but yet he's a mercenary! A nomadic athlete! NRL need to start rewarding the loyal players that call this game home! And it's ironic that his agent, who doesn't own his place because he doesn't believe in settling in one place! We can do without that germ!

Oh ok, yeah you right $BW does have some skills we don't posses in any one player ATM. But we do have a forward pack currently that can together do anything that he can plus alot more. This is what I meant by hard work, half our forward pack are over weight, un-fit and constantly injured. The other half are newbies and have been carrying the others. I think last off-season was wasted, someone dropped the ball after the GF loss and discipline was lost aswell. I think we thought that we just had to turn up this year and be in another GF.

there is no questioning sbw and his ability or his capacity to draw fans to the game and the club, the big question would be sbw and his dedication and loyalty to any club .
sbw comes with a lot of unwanted handlers and excess baggage with kodar, weidler , mundine this is why he is so difficult to deal with, and why he is selling himself in 1 year contracts

seems to have slotted in over there ok.I'm sure they aren't having any issues. he's selling himself in 1 year contracts to take advantage of all opps that come the way of someone like him.
 
At the end of the day and its something that is largely forgotten but its the fans who make RL and allow it to be a billion dollar business. Otherwise we are all back down the park watching players who still love the game (I know some still play cause they love it). And by reading all the $BW forums that have been on this site by no means are most of the doggies fans ready to see him back at our great club. This most likely will never be forgotten what he did to his team mates and fans at a dire hour, why reward him for his actions by allowing him to slip on a blue and white jersey again and pay him to do it? Imagine the damage the club would do to its supporter base if they signed him, would be a civil war! The only way I would welcome him back I have decided is if he publicly apologies and plays a season for free.

Fantastic contribution. You would welcome back the wanker who deserted us in our darkest hour and you condemn the guy who brought us back from the lowest point our club has been in. We could hardly recruit a player or a sponsor when TG took over ffs. He had to make hard choices and getting rid of the rat pack (mason, maitua, etc) was one of them. Once these dicks realized they weren't calling the shots they wanted out.

If a woman left you without a word and ****ed a heap of blokes and rubbed your face in it, would you take her back just because she was hot? Hopefully you'd have more dignity. So does our club.

care to elaborate? The man turned our club around dramatically since 2008. The star players have left as like you imply its a numbers game....and some who have left today aren't doing 1/10th to how they were performing at our club (Tonga, Maitua, O'Meley..and there are probably more as well).

Yes the club I believe made a mistake with SBW...personally though, if we lose Barba next season I don't think it will be as dramatic as some think.

From what I had been told back then, Sonny actually didn't want to walk out....he had told the club he wasn't happy there since Mason had left, and the way several players including himself were treated.

Sonny had told Folkes he would walk if things didn't improve...Folkes thought him and his manager were bluffing and telling lies...and he did it.

To be quite honest he is a huge part of why the roosters have been playing well and you have to be blind not to see it. Whether we like him or not nobody can deny the impact he has made. The guy is easily one of the most talented footballers I've seen but in saying that I really don't want him back in blue and white because of how he left.

The club would look like idiots if they even offered him a contract.
 
He is not coming back ( even though I wish he would ) nothing to see here , move on

all honesty bro, he isn't the huge part of why they are going well, Maloney is the reason.
 
SBW left for one reason. MONEY! Anyone that thinks otherwise has been fooled. All his money was tied up with a failed development with his old manager Orr. Which led to his falling out with him and joining the Nasser camp. Very similar to Craig wing and why he also left abruptly. He had to sell his house at tallong road caringbah where his family lived to pay off debt. Nasser tried to renegotiate a deal at Brighton so he would get a cut for the next 5 years. Because he was earning nothing off him due to Orr doing the deal 6 months prior. Greenberg said no. We offered you a 3 year deal, and he came back and wanted 5 at 400k due to him being injury prone. Now 6 months later its not enough. Then Nasser brain washes him and tells him you are worth more. And then goes on the look out for suitors. Him saying it was Folkes is just a smoke screen to make him look better.
