Solid team. Turner over lafai any day though. I'd still prefer Hodko too. He's just more creative and on games like last nite where storm had our number, a creative half would have tried a few more things. Keating has been great this year but more as a facilitator. We really need someone who can ball play

if they go by the Brad Morrin incident James will miss 8 games, 6 NRL season games if they include the trials. So our bench will consist of Williams/Jackson/Finucane/Payne. Although Williams may start with Halatau on the bench.

Turner over Lafai it seems. Although Lafai is a good backup plan, if anything (knock on wood goes wrong).

would be my first 17! I think we may be a bit more impacted by origin next year though...possibly losing morris, t-rex, reynolds and barba. Also the ANZAC test will be tough as I can see inu, eastwood, kasiano, pritchard and morris as a big chance of making that. Our depth will be tested next year in the middle of the season moreso than this year where we started our streak.

My biggest headache is the backline. Lafai is a true talent, and when he's actually had his chance (playing at left centre) he's been brilliant. If we make him second choice, there'd be a number of clubs swarming for his signature.

On the other hand you've got Turner to return and Inu who was brilliant this year.

I have no idea what out backline is going to look like next year.

My memories of Hodkinson playing didn't involve a long kicking game. In fact, I thought his biggest issue was his long kicking game.
early in the year he showed his long kicking game until he got injured! i know kimmorley and des and dymock working with him to develop his long kicking game

Knee operations are a ***** from what I have told. They take ages to heal, and yes of course it depends on each and every situation. The surgery knocks you about after, and its a long and tiring process. Especially if needing to go back for a second operation, if the first was not successful.

Get well soon Hodko. Although I think it may take him sometime to recover from this. Wish him a speed recovery.

cant see why everyone wants Turner & Perret in the same side.....why do we need 2 midget wingers that get out leaped by every other teams giant wingers.....Turner seems like a great bloke but he's slower than my Nanna

wow are you stilled pissed? lmao at those teams.
we win the minor premiership, 15 from last 17 i think it was, and you want to change a team.
it didnt take long for all the negative posters to come out did it.
the forwards get dominated last night and everyone want to bag Keating.
the forwards made less metres than the backs, Ennis made 3 runs compared to Smith 11, yet it is KK fault.
thank god hasler is the coach

If height is your issue, Turner is solid under the high ball, more consistent than Wright who is taller.

A good solid side, but for subs i would like to see:
14: James Graham
15: Tony Williams
16: Martin Taupa
17:Kris Keating(Mentioned early good off the bench as a utility spot)

18th man: Josh Jackson or Corey Payne

quite often he has helped us out of our own half due to his quick dummy-half runs. he may not be a speedster but to say he's slower than your nanna is a bit of an exaggeration, dont you think?
