yeah call me dumb when a fkn CEO doesnt even know hier marquee player is on TV dreaming about playing about a rival club.

Also after that interview he goes on social media provoking fans a number of times.... yet nothing is done about it.

Good fkn job Raylene!

you are the one who has got no fkn idea.
It's not really her fault if Barba does that of his own acccord? What power does she have over him? You gravely underestimate the degree to which player power exists in the game. I think he should have been told to take down the QLD weather photo, but it's not exactly relevant to the overall decision is it? You need to stay on topic.

Neither of these factors contribute to a poorly made decision to let Barba go. We simply had no other logical option.

Your solution is to have a dummy spit and not let Barba play til 2015. You're an absolute muppet.
Spekaing of muppets You are the one of the highest order for asking me if I have problem with women just cos I criticized Raylene on her performance to date

Look at you, you're so obsessed with raging against her you can't even type properly. I asked because it's an obsession of yours, criticizing our female CEO. Were you going off at Greenberg and Des at the start of the year for not putting an end to Barba's off field shenanigans?

Why do you hate women so much? It's a simple question.

champ i am not getting paid big bucks to tell you what a CEO does, but looking at the history of marquee players leaving mid contracts I would have made this one an example making an statement to rest of potential contract breakers that this club is not going to be treated as a door mat.

Made him sit out the entire contract , it is only 350 k/ year.
of course, why bother using that money to top up current players' contracts or to help sign someone new when you can waste on someone not even playing for the club

All she could have done about these things is tear up his contract. It's pretty fooking hard to threaten a player who wants to leave with a torn contract. She is a CEO not some all knowing and omnipotent being who has some all seeing, big brother type eye that can track a player's movements at all times. She could have told him to take the social media crap down, sure... I'm not worried she didn't. Once it's out there the damage is done and I actually think those posts and comments did me some good. Made it much easier for me to accept he was leaving.

Chill out dude... You are taking the bull in a china shop approach to the blame game here

Call a spade a spade, Castle was stuck between a rock and a hard place, no point keeping a player that doesn't want to be there, TG would of have to do the same thing.

Let him sit out the rest of his contract on the sidelines whilst earning good coin and doing **** all for it? Why would you want to keep a player on the books if he doesn't want to be around? Makes no sense to me tbh.

This inbred needs to STFU and worry about his own dud team. I'd worry a little less about Canterbury supporters and a little more about not making the Finals again.

He is still a Bulldog player, what business is it of his? The Bronco's would of let him know the door is wide open, come to papa.

lol how quickly they forget...didn't Wally Lewis make a very serious allegation against him at the start of the year? on National Television as well?

They can enjoy Barba whilst they have him, when he is getting into arguments up there with team mates, gambling his money away, getting up to very bad 'activity'...then the Broncos will be saying "oh shit what have we bought"....enjoy Brisbane:grinning:

I wonder which one of three tables Barba is going to blow his money at the glamourous "The Treasury" casino.

Bulldogs should have just taken legal action.

FACT: Ainslie and Barba's family are from Mackay.
FACT: Barba was contracted to us as of a few days ago.
FACT: Broncos have had paperwork signed, sealed and ready to sign before Barba was released.
FACT: Broncos have enticed a player to break his contract under the guise of "family issues".
FACT: Mr Invisible swore blind there had been zero contact from the Broncos the whole time

To come out less than 24 hours after the deal's been done and further infuriate supporters by telling them to 'lay off' the 'superstar' that just screwed their club over is a stupid move. You think any Bulldog supporters read this garbage and think "Wow, poor Ben, maybe I should reconsider this situation and support the move whole-heartedly"? Of course not.

Show that you have an ounce of respect left and leave this issue alone for at least a few weeks.

Now we know that Barba is likely to play for us in the finals, i agree we should lay off him at least till after the season. Otherwise we are shooting ourselves in the foot. We need him to want to play his best for us till he goes, and would you do you best for a bunch of people who wont stop flaming you?

Benji has proved you dont want a player in the team that hasnt got his heart in it, so letting him go is the best result. The fact he wont earn more till after 2015 (so wont gain financially from breaking contract) is the result we wanted, and Castle has done a good as expected job handling this.

People need to get past the anger that hes leaving, (and nobody is happy hes going, including me), and consider the facts.
