Samuela Ratavola of Vashist Muni College and George Satakala of Mahatma Ghandi Memorial High School, have become the inaugural signees of Bill Kikau's academy in Fiji. This marks the first-ever enrollment into the academy that serves as a pathway to the Bulldogs in the NRL.

The ambassadorial role is important in those markets. Years ago I had Thorpie send messages to young Fijian swimmers. For them it wasn’t just being star-struck but a real ‘this is what can happen for me if I lean in’ moment. Whilst none of them ended up making the Olympics two of them went on to win gold in regional championships. Fiji is a real community sport wise so with the Bulldog brand front and centre let’s hope we unearth the next Radradra, Sivo or Kikau.
