The Roosters are in danger of losing giant young hitman Terrell May, with a host of clubs chasing his signature.

And the Bulldogs could be in the pole position to sign the hulking prop, with coach Cameron Ciraldo a good friend of the May family.

May is a Panthers junior and was mentored by Ciraldo early in his career before debuting for the Roosters last season.

The 24-year-old came of age as an NRL player this year, playing 17 games in the Roosters' top side.

He is a free agent at the end of 2024, meaning clubs have been able to talk to him since November 1.

The Roosters paid massive dollars to lure Spencer Leniu from the Panthers recently and don't have much room to offer May an upgrade in the salary cap.

The tricolours are keen to retain May, but won't be able to match big-money offers from rival clubs like the Bulldogs.

Hows he go?
I have tended to switch off most seasons of late as we have sucked harder & certainly not gone looking for rorters games to watch..

Chooks have bought and extended a lot of players, given May would currently be on a relatively small deal it seems more probable he will leave, be a great get and not be over the top money for us.

Roosters will resign him with there brown paper bags percent
To be fair, Corey Allan was let go.
That should be plenty to upgrade May (on $600k, at least), and have more than a bit left over to buy some other nice, new, shiny things.

Add to that some "strategic cap sombrero dispensations" (Roosrters only) from their friends at NRL/NEIN HQ for some "rugby converts", and there's really no reason the Roosrters should EVER be in cap trouble. Cap? WTF is that? Just put it on the tab mate, she'll be right.

Question. Can you send some talented juniors to rugby union for a year (for development ;)), and then buy them from rugby outside "the cap"?

The Roosters do love the latest new shiny thing. Maybe it has to do with the Politis shiny car thing.

He would be a good acquisition but wont happen if they want to keep him...
As far as I know, there is a mutual agreement to not poach each others players between us and the Rorters.

Would love to have this bloke in the Blue and White …

But we all know the Roosters don’t lose players they want to keep, in fact they keep ‘em all, and then still buy more, and the Nrlol don’t say a word …

They’ll move on Tupou & JWH add some TPA’s, a little nudge nudge wink wink crypto and easily afford to keep him ..
