They've just upgraded Mam and Walsh, they're keeping Hetherington and Willison and according to Madge they're keeping Staggs and Cobbo.

I don't get either why we're now reportedly capping our offer at 550K. What happened to the 1.6M Gus said we were under cap and paying ex players last year as reported by multiple publications recently. We need to offer a little more than the Broncos. You'd think we could go to 700K. We seriously think a 7 with most try assists in the NRL last year is worth the same as we paid a winger in JAC ? If true that we're lowballing him then maybe we did the same to May and many others and the reason we keep missing out on player after player. Will be f..king spewing if we miss out on Hunt after Paps and we miss Thompson. Sometimes you have to pay market value to players other than ex Panthers. Hunt would still be great value at 700K

Which part of we didn’t make an offer to May is difficult to understand?
 
The SMH article didn’t really offer anything of substance about us making an offer. It basically just said we’d be in a good position to make an offer.

To me, it smelled like a leak from Gus for PR purposes, almost to save face having missed a few marque targets in the past two years. Words like the following:

“A third party connected to Hunt reportedly reached out to the club and informed them that the halfback believes the club is close to winning a premiership and wanted to speak to coach Cameron Ciraldo and general manager Phil Gould.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports Hunt's willingness to sacrifice money in order to join a potential premiership-winning team, led to a meeting.”

Too many players they have to get rid off too much money they are paying for a coke head and a pretty boy who runs around in pink tighty whites and paints his nails .

The only player I respect at Brisbane is HASS

The concerning thing with Ben Hunt is he’s had two decent NRL coaches (Bennett and Flanagan) and both have wanted to get rid of him.

Can CC get the best out of him?
