Not sure where to put this (there was a similar thread a couple year ago), but our namesake in Bangkok has just opened the ASEAN League with a loss

I can't imagine the quality would be great (i'm never in Thailand when the games are on), but some those props are more in the George Rose mould)... Note the Holden and Oliver Brown sponsorship.

The comp is the new top flight in SE Asia. Only teams from Thailand and Laos at this stage, but there is league being played across the region. There are even women's games planned.

Whilst there have been a number of NRL players with Asian heritage, such as Craig Wing, Alex Chan and Andrew Everingham, i can't think of an Asian born and bred guy making it. Who knows one day?

Anyway, go Dogs, wherever you are...

If anyone wants to follow they boys, go to:

This is so cool.

Maybe the mods should put this thread in the Junior Bulldog Forum.

In round 2 action (man they have along time between games)... the boys traveled to Samut Prkan (which is only really like going to Cronulla), where they went down to the Mukdahan Blue Nagas (Mukdahan is right out on the Lao border, and they would be like hillbillies), 24-6.

Next Round is later in June against the Nonthaburi Knights, which will kind of be like a local derby.

This guy, whose name would give Rabs a heart attack, looks like he has a bit of a step.
